As people prey on mutants in New York, Laura Kinney acts as a lone wolf to viciously fight for her people, but she may need to join up with some of her fellow heroes to really help her mission. Since it’s been said thatNYXwill reject superhero clichésin favor of building a more community-focused series for Marvel’s X-Men characters, it’s likely that the standard type of superhero team won’t be formed. Instead, Wolverine’s vigilante mission could either change focus, orsimply be renewed with the emotional support of the mutant heroes that are also featured in the series.
During an unfriendly run-in with Ms. Marvel inNYX (2024) #1, Wolverine tells the still fairly new mutant that she’s not ready for the anti-mutant fight brewing in NYC.
