In the wake ofWill Trentseason 2’s ending, Will and Angie kept their distance from one another. Angie focused on getting her job back, while Will escaped to Tennessee. Once they came face-to-face for the first time since he arrested her, it was awkward, to say the least. Since then,Angie “released” Will, and the two have maintained a cordial working relationship, with the promise that they might get their friendship back one day. Following his breakup with Angie, Will has been in a relationship with Marion in Will Trent season 3, but episode 12 suggests she isn’t his soulmate.
Will and Angie have hardly put in the time to get back on track as friends, let alone as lovers, after he arrested her during theWill Trentseason 2 finale. So, jumping back into their romance would be a complete disaster. Will and Angie must deal with their respective and collective issues first, and they haven’t efficiently done so, especially after Will accidentally shot andkilled the young teenager inWill Trentseason 3, episode 11. They haven’t earned their reconciliation, meaning thatWill and Angie rekindling their romance would be the worst thing thatWill Trentcan do.

Why It’s So Hard For Will & Angie To Leave Each Other Alone
Will & Angie’s History Is Complicated
It’s understandable why Will and Angie keep coming back to one another inWill Trent. Their history runs deep, andtheir shared trauma helps them understand each other better than anyone else possibly could. However, that doesn’t mean they should be together. Will and Angie can be friends, a goal that season 3 should be working towards. Instead, it appears as ifWill Trentis trying to rekindle Will and Angie’s romance, which is premature, given their lack of shared development in season 3, and unnecessary because it’ll only lead to heartbreak for both of them.
