Snaggleroot & Winterbloom Are Played By Iconic Actors

The two main Ents introduced inseason 2 are Snaggleroot and Winterbloom, adding some elite talent to theRings of Powerseason 2 cast.Snaggleroot is voiced by veteran actor Jim Broadbent, whose career in film and television has spanned decades, including classics likeMoulin Rouge!,Time Bandits, andBrazil. He even had a small role inGame of Thronesseason 7 as Archmaester Ebrose. In theHarry Potterfranchise, Jim Broadbent plays Professor Horace Slughorn.

Winterbloom is voiced by Olivia Williams, who’s best known for playing Miss Cross in Wes Anderson’sRushmore. She’s also been inThe Sixth Senseand recently had a role in the final seasons ofThe Crown. The existence of Winterbloom also creates fun questions about Tolkien’s lore and theexistence of female Ents.
