Robot, is working on a secret project inInvincibleseason 3, episode 3, and precisely what he’s working on is known through the comics. The fallout of the Guardians of the Globe team splitting in half after Cecil and Mark’s fight in episode 2 continues in episode 3 as Rudy/Robot, Amanda/Monster Girl,Rex Splode, Shrinking Rae, and Bulletproof leave to start their own superteam. They are given a few moments to collect their belongings from the Guardians' headquarters. This includes Rudy putting several items in a box.
Once they get to the old Teen Team headquarters, Amanda discovers Rudy’s box and picks it up to move it. This immediately makes Rudy nervous, and he takes it from her. He mentions that the box contains a"pet project of mine"that is"not ready to be shared yet.“Following the danger of Robot’s various inventions and schemes in the past, some may even think he is the onewho is watching Invincible in season 3, episode 3. What Rudy is hiding from Amanda and viewers is very different based on a small glimpse and the comics.
Rudy Is Working On A Belt To Stop Amanda’s Reverse Aging
Based on the small look at Rudy’s secret project inside the box, it is clear that the item in question is a belt for Amanda. This is in line with theInvinciblecomics.Invincible #58is where readers first learn about the belt, as it is only unveiled once it is ready for use. There is no physical tease of its existence likeInvincibleseason 3, episode 3, offers. But,the grey belt with a red center is a direct match for how Amanda’s belt looks in the comics, which does stop her from reverse aging every time she transforms.
Rudy has previously attempted to help Amanda find a cure to stop her from aging in reverse every time she used her Monster Girl powers. Those previous attempts have all failed, so the belt teased inInvincibleseason 3, episode 3, is the latest method Rudy wants to try. The belt creates a copy of Amanda’s cells and uses that to help her revert back to being human. As he notes, it is not quite ready yet, but the comics indicate that this secret project will be successful.
What Rudy’s Project Means For Invincible Season 3
