American Idolseason 22 finalist Jack Blocker placed third in the reality singing competition behind winner Abi Carter and runner-up Will Moseley, and he’s been very busy since this incredible achievement. Jack, a 25-year-old graphic designer from Dallas, Texas, auditioned for the judges–Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan–with his original song, “I Was Wrong.“He originally didn’t receive a golden ticket to Hollywoodbecause both Katy and Lionel said no, overriding Luke’s yes. However, Luke then asked the crew to vote, and, when many of them said yes, Lionel changed his vote, and Jack went to Hollywood.
After a season of phenomenal performances, including “Rainbow,” “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim,” “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right,” “Blinding Lights,” “Believe,” “Always On My Mind,” “Long Tall Sally,” “One and Only,” “Nobody’s Fool,” “Space Oddity,” “I’ll Be There for You,” and “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” among others, Jack placed third in the competition.
