This is the last Venom movie. We always saw this as 3 pictures and we wanted to tell Eddie and Venom’s story in 3 movies. The arc closes here but as you know there are lots of symbiotes stories in the comics.

What Marcel’s Comments Mean For The Future Of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe

Marcel Has Already Hinted At More To Come From Venom’s Maker

While it’s still unclear who is set to play Venom’s original creator, the primordial deity known as Knull, his forthcoming appearance inVenom: The Last Dancehas already been teased asonly his introduction into Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. With Marcel previously describing Knull as “way too powerful for ‘one and done’,” it would seem that audiences are bound to see more of the shadowy character who stands proudly among the pantheon of Marvel’s most dangerous villains.

The question remains, however, which of Sony’s Marvel characters could potentially stand against Knull and his symbiotes once Eddie Brock and Venom are out of the picture.

As the one responsible for crafting the parasitic lifeforms known as the Klyntar, or symbiotes, any of Knull’s future appearances are likely to be connected with the parasitic creatures. Just as Marcel points out, Marvel Comics has already introduced several other symbiotes beyond Venom, many of which are directly connected to the otherworldly threat of their original master.

Our Take On Future Symbiote Movies

It’s Time For Sony’s Spider-Man Universe To Bring In Its Titular Character

For years, audiences have wished to see Spider-Man and symbiote team up, following the less-than-ideal version of Venom portrayed by Topher Grace in 2007’sSpider-Man3.However, the curious intricacies of Sony’s deals with Marvel Studios that allow Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to appear in the MCU have largely prevented such a phenomenon.

WhileSpider-Man: No Way Homefeatured a universe-hopping cameo from Hardy and hinted at a symbiote making its way into the MCU, theVenommovies have been the most successful entries in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. As such, the studio may intend to keep all future appearances to themselves. Instead, perhaps the ideal way to develop more symbiote movies afterVenom: The Last Dancewould be for Sony to finally look at bringing Andrew Garfield back forThe Amazing Spider-Man 3and give him the alien showdown that he originally missed out on.
