ThePokémon Trading Card Gameex Starter Deck Generations decks will have nine different versions of one card to celebrate each of the franchise’s generations. Unlike regularTCGsets, which include an element of luck, these decks will have a predetermined selection of cards. Nine decks will be released as part of the Generations collection, each corresponding to a different generation from the history of the franchise.
As part of the celebrations of the nine generations ofPokémongames, the Starter Deck Generations cards will alsoinclude nine variations of the Black Belt’s Practice supporter card,according toPokéBeach. Although each card uses a different illustration, the card’s effect remains unchanged between the versions, allowing players to do an additional 40 damage to the opponent’s active ex Pokémon.

The decks in the upcoming ex Starter Deck Generations are created to celebrate the different generations.
