The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Poster Showing Five Walking

100%. Yeah. Of course. I mean, that’d have to be a Universal and Netflix conversation. But if we had an opportunity to do a five or six, there was no way I’d say no. And I think there was a conversation a while back that they were going to make a movie out of it, that they were going to do a few seasons, and then the last one was going to be a film. I don’t know how you’re able to do a film with seven characters. I think that’s hard. Can you really tell the character-driven stories that Umbrella’s known for in two hours with all these characters?

Would An Umbrella Academy Movie Undermine The Show’s Ending?

The Hargreeves Were Already Given A Conclusive Ending

While fans may be disappointed to see the hit Netflix show coming to an end,The Umbrella Academyseason 4 finaledelivered a fitting, if somewhat divisive, conclusion for its titular heroes. After years spent bouncing from one apocalypse to the next, the Hargreeves family were finally able to restore stability to the universevia their collective sacrifice. For a group of characters well known for their dysfunctional ways and abundant character flaws, their final act revealed them to be the selfless heroes audiences always knew them to be.

It is a touching, if somewhat bittersweet ending to an eclectic group of heroes who so often struggled with their place in the world.

Despite this fitting and conclusive ending, however, some fans would be more than keen to see a potential series revival or spinoff movie. GivenThe Umbrella Academy’senduring popularity and the appeal of the show’s unique family dynamics, it is understandable that some viewers would relish the opportunity to see the Hargreeves somehow make their onscreen return. Yet, it is likely that any such move wouldonly serve to undercut the team’s courageous sacrifice.

While some viewers may suggest thatThe Umbrella Academy’s final mid-credit scenemay somehow point to the possibility of a miraculous resurrection, the more likely scenario is that the blossoming golden flowers are the universe’s way of paying tribute to the Umbrellas in a world where no one even remembers their existence. It is a touching, if somewhat bittersweet ending to an eclectic group of heroes who so often struggled with their place in the world. Moreover, the time constraints of a two-hour movie would also make it exceedingly difficult to retcon such an ending without undermining it completely.
