As the first in a line designed for middle-grade readers, the new graphic novel introduces a new character who transforms into, appropriately enough, a ballpoint pen.
Launching in July 2025,Transformers: Worst Bot Ever: Meet Ballpointcomes from the creative team of writer Brian “Smitty” Smith and artist Marz, Jr.As the title suggests, the graphic novel will focus on a new Transformer named Ballpoint.
Skybound Entertainment’s official announcement goes on to describe the project and its main character in detail, adding that the “Decepticons are known for being bad” but “Ballpoint is truly theworst –the biggestfailureof them all.“After Ballpoint is kicked out of the Decepticons when an attempt to defeat the Autobots goes wrong, he will attempt to prove his worth by taking down the Autobots all by himself. But will he succeed? “Or will he keep failing and find that being the ‘best’ is… More than Meets the Eye?”
