Summary

Fans ofThe Sims 4lamenting the lack of competitors on the market can now check out the game’s biggest competition asInZoireleases a massive new demo. Developed by Krafton, the ambitious life-simulator made waves when it was first unveiled thanks to its stunning visuals and robust gameplay, and while the early-access release may still be a few months away, those who are interested can get a taste of the experience early. There are a few catches though, so one shouldn’t expect a fullSimsreplacement just yet.

Over onSteam,Krafton droppedInZoi: Character Studio, a demo that showcases the game’s robust creation systemby allowing users to design their characters ahead of the title’s full release. Those who grab the demo will be able to keep it permanently but it’s worth noting thatCharacter Studiowill only be available until August 26 at 12 a.m. ET, meaning fans have just under a week to pick it up. Despite only showing a vertical slice ofInZoi, the demo features a surprising amount of content, including 250 customization options that cover everything from body type to clothing.

How Much The Sims 4 Costs in 2024

The game will soon turn nine, and it has certainly amassed no shortage of DLCs along the way. Here’s the total cost of all Sims 4 expansions in 2023.

DespiteThe Simsbeing one of EA’s most beloved products, the life-simulator genre still has plenty of space for competitors. Many enthusiasts who have grown dissatisfied withThe Sims 4’s continued content drops and increasingly broken technical stateare hopingInZoiis at least up to par with Maxis' franchise as it couldhelp diversify the marketplace. Having some actual competition may even pushThe Simsto make some sweeping improvements to retain its massive but increasingly disillusioned player base.

InZoicould just be the real deal given the gameplay Krafton has highlighted through various trailers. Aside from creating hyper-realistic characters, players will also be able to find jobs, form deep connections with other Zois in the neighborhood, and “experience unexpected events to feel the various emotions life has to offer.“By all accounts it’s a massive project, hence the early access launch which should help Krafton better cater to fan feedback.
