DuringThe Masked Singerseason 12 premiere,Goo sang a powerful and soulful version of “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims. In his clue package, Goo revealed that, growing up, he wanted to tackle everything in his way. He was shown looking at a tackle box. However, he added that, inside, he was really sensitive, oozing with emotions. Goo shared that, once his older brother started playing guitar, he found his escape. The tackle box referred to Kobie’s football career.
As Goo looked at a toy train with disco balls in the back of it, he shared that, after tough days at school, he’d sit in his room, crying, singing through the pains of high school drama.Kobie’s nickname is “The Conductor” because of his musical talent and leadership skills, which is what the train referenced.

Goo Gushed About His Fiancée
DuringThe Masked Singerseason 12 Barbie Night,Goo sang a rousing rendition of “Miss Independent” by Ne-Yo. Goo’s clue package took place at an amusement park, with a carousel in the background. He began by saying that Barbie is all about empowering young women, and showing them that they can achieve their dreams. He added that there was one"go-getter gal"in his life, his future Mrs. Goo. Goo then looked at a framed photograph of a female Goo character. According toThe Knot, Kobie is engaged to Alissa Villanueva, and they’re planning a 2025 wedding.
Goo then told the story of how he and his fiancée gelled at a theme park, where, ironically, he was frustrated and grumpy. He stated that he had his guard up. He then held up a golden ticket. Goo shared that he was alone on a bench, when he looked up and saw her head. She was asking him to dance. Goo gushed that he instantly melted at her kindness, playfulness, and confidence. Goo then looked at a popcorn machine that had a bowl of pastry and apple slices. He said that at that moment, he knew that he’d met his"mushy match.”

Goo was then shown standing in front of a red church robe with a white cross on it, and a red carousel horse with a pink bow on his stick.Kobie played college football for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, which is what the red church robe might’ve represented.

The Masked Singerseason 12 ’60s Nightbegan with a delightful performance of “Fun, Fun, Fun” by The Beach Boys from the final three Group B finalists: Goo, Wasp, and Bluebell. They sang gorgeous harmonies together. After that performance,Goo sang a powerful rendition of “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals. He started off his clue package by saying that making it to the Group B finals made him"feel all warm and gooey inside.”
As the scene changed to a whimsical carnival,Goo admitted that he was just now starting to fully believe in himself. He said that he once had a major goal, and scraped up just enough money to survive for only one year to make it happen. Goo shared that he was on"borrowed slime.“He said that,“with a dollar and a dream,“he didn’t just coast. Goo said that he worked harder than anyone else.
At that point, Goo was shown moving a rook chess piece on a board, whichJenny realized might refer to"rookie.“Goo said that, luckily, working hard paid off, as he answered a light blue rotary phone. He said that was whenhe got a rare call that changed everything. A sack with gold coins spilling out of it was then shown.Sack is a football term. As a music stand with sheet music was shown, Goo picked up a conductor’s baton.This was another reference to his nickname of “The Conductor.”

The Masked Singer season 12’s Group C finalist Strawberry Shortcake has been a mystery, but a Peanuts Night clue all but confirmed her true identity.
After Goo’s performance, another clue was given about his identity. It was a phone call from a loved one: his fiancée. She said,“I know you’re in there! You melt my heart, Goo, and, from the sound of it, you’ve melted America’s hearts too. I haven’t been this proud of you since the day you got that call that changed your life forever. Good luck! I love you!“On Barbie Night, Kobie had previously talked about his beloved fiancée, Alissa.
Goo became emotional and said thathis fiancée has meant the world to him, and he couldn’t imagine doing life without her. He cried, and said that he gets emotional because he’s just so glad that he could share hisMasked Singerexperience with everyone. Goo then said,“I love you,“to his fiancée after her phone call.
After Goo and Strawberry Shortcake competed against each other in the Smackdown, during which Goo sang an amazing version of “Hold On, I’m Comin'” by Sam & Dave, and Strawberry Shortcake sang a touching version of “Scars to Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara, she moved on to the semifinals, whileGoo was unmasked and revealed to be Kobie.
After Kobie was unmasked, he shared that music has been a huge part of his life since he was a kid. He said that his biggest goal with being an athlete is to be able to show that they’re so much more than just athletes.
