Hailey is the newest playable character inThe First Descendant, and she has a great range of DPS abilities. Her abilities are slightly different than anyone else’s, and she has astrong Chill attribute that can let her stack Cryo status effects. This can make her a great Descendant for players who like to stay at a distance from a boss and can take down enemies from afar.

Hailey has very strong skills that make herone of the best firearm specialists in the game. She can alsodo a lot of Cryo damage. As she is also best at ranged, she can do a lot of work from the back lines without breaking a sweat. However, she is not hard to grind, butshe does take a long time to unlock,so be aware of that fact.
The First Descendant: How To Farm Heat Plasma Battery
The First Descendant has many crafting materials you can farm, including the rare Heat Plasma Battery, an important resource for many item recipes.
Her passive skill is calledSafe Strategic Retreat, which causes more damage the further you are away from the target,starting at around 25m. That is the biggest reason you want to be further away. But her other skills are just as important.

Cryo Round
Dimension
This fires off a Cryo Round and inflicts the Cryo status. Targets with any amount of Cryo Stacks will receive additional damage and lose a stack when hit.
Storm Snare
Singular
This unleashes a Chill Vortex AoE that knocks back enemies and fires off a massive Freezing Beam. This also stacks Cryo on enemies hit by it.
Cold Fury
Gives Hailey Cold Fury every second. It decreases her movement speed but increases her firearm and Skill Critical Hit rates.
Zenith
Equips a unique weapon for Hailey and greatly increases the stats of it.
The fourth skill, Zenith,can be kept active, and you can sit on it as long as you want, activating the first and third skills alongside it to do massive amounts of damage and keep enemies in cryo. Additionally, this means Hailey can do a lot with just a firearm,even if she does not have any other Modulars or builds helping her out.
Quickly pressing onewhile keeping Zenith activatedcan eliminate enemies charging at you when you do not otherwise have time to line up the perfect shot.
There is more to each of those skills, but the basic idea is thatshe wants to stack stacks of Cryo on enemiesand hit them with a very big firearm from far away.

While the boss build does a great amount of damage, because she can do so much damage without any help, shecan take on more supportive mods and be a more well-rounded player.

Reactor & External Components
The reactor you will likely want to run is theFrozen Singularity Reactor. This Reactor has a massive Skill Power, along with being able to boost your Chill Skill Power and Singular Skill Power. What you roll will affect this as well, and an interesting choice to look for is the“Skill Critical Hit Rate.”This allows you to get to the maximum of 100% on your Crit Rate.
You should also look for the"Damage Against Colossus"as a Reactor roll, so watch the map for whenChill, High-Powered Rounds, and Singular Reactorsare going to be dropped. This can help you do even more damage than before.
As for components, you are likely going to want theSlayer Set for all four components. It will give you a little less survivability, but you do not need survivability if bosses die within a few shots. This is best for the boss build. If you are looking at one of the other builds, the Polar Set or Glacial Sets, although you do not need to have them in every slot,, youyou can pick something else for the other two.
