During this meeting,Sam Wilson officially offers Ororo Munroe a spot in the new-and-improved Avengers lineup.

With the Avengers finally acknowledging that mutant representation is important for the team,Storm is undoubtedly the best choiceto join Marvel’s premier team of heroes. Reeling from the events ofBlood Hunt, Captain Marvel’s grief and guilt have reached their peak, andshe tells the team that they’ve faileddue to the cataclysmic loss of lives despite them eventually stopping the attack. Compounding the vampire attack with other unavoided travesties, Sam Wilson’s Captain America agrees with Carol and sets out to find Storm to recruit her to the team with their renewed mission to fight for all, without casualties.
The Avengers’ new mission and new recruit help them earn their avenging title, renewing their duty to save as many lives as possible with Storm fighting for the mutants lost to Orchis’ myriad of attacks.
