Four years afterSuitsended, NBC orderedSuits LAstarring Stephen Amell, and despite the spinoff having a major advantage over its predecessor, one wouldn’t know that based on its first image. The upcoming legal drama series, created by Aaron Korsh (the mind behind the original show), comes on the heels ofSuits' resurgence after being added to Netflix’sstreaming catalog. Thanks toSuits' rise in popularity, it was only a matter of time before NBCUniversal started developing a spinoff or sequel series. The photo in question (see above) depicts Stephen Amell as Ted Black wearing a suit and sitting in front of a blurred-out window that looks out onto an ambiguous city. So, based ontheSuits' spinoff’s first look, it’s not evident that the legal drama is set in Los Angeles.
Ultimately, theSuits: LApicture sadly hides its California setting and does little to build hype around the spinoff.
The upcoming TV show’s pilot was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, beforeproduction onSuits: LAwas relocated to Los Angelesfollowing NBC handing it a series order.
