Star Wars Outlawsis an open-world game in theStar Warsuniverse that explores a relatively untouched realm in the lore.Players follow Kay Vess, a scoundrel-type character, and her little pal Nix, as they navigate the complex criminal underbellyduring the time betweenTheEmpire Strikes BackandReturn of the Jedi. Because of the open-world concept, players have a lot of options regarding what they do, or don’t do. Vess mustmaintain her reputation with different crime syndicatesas they send her on various missions. While gaining reputation is most important, Vess also must look out for herself, and this is where the open-world concept is fully effective at creating an immersive and engaging playthrough.
During the “Underworld” quest, one of the initial missions in the game, Vess is instructed to infiltrate Gorak’s suite in the Pyke Syndicate’s district. Once Vess is inside, players will have Gorak’s ring in their inventoryafterNix manages to steal the treasure. This ring has the potential to shift gameplay depending on how players want to use it and what is most important to the player: reputation or monetary gain. Whatever choice is made won’t drastically change any outcome, but one choice is more logical than the other. While giving the ring back to Gorak is better for a player’s rapport with the syndicate, it’s more financially savvy to sell it.

What Are The Benefits Of Giving The Ring Back To Gorak?
Building Trust With The Pykes, Crimson Dawn, Or Ashiga Clan
Reputation is an important aspect to consider while playingStar Wars Outlaws.Having an Excellent or Good reputation with the crime syndicates allows Vess to go on missionsand collect more rewards. While there are choices the player can make as Vess that could hurt her reputation in the game, there are more than enough chances for her to increase her reputation as well. This is ultimately one of the more factors to consider when it comes to choosing if the player wants to give the ring back to Gorak.
If the player gives him the ring, it will increase reputation with the Pykes, which can be beneficial later on with missions and allow Vess to access areas otherwise closed off to her.

Later on in the game, Vess will interact with Gorak again. At this point, Gorak will request his ring back. If the player gives him the ring, it will increase reputation with the Pykes, which can be beneficial later on with missions and allow Vess to access areas otherwise closed off to her. This reputation boost will come in handy if players have a low-ranking reputation with them, which can occur after helping the Crimson Dawn or Ashiga Clan, two rival crime syndicates. However, if a player has a good enough reputation with the Pyke Syndicate, this exchange doesn’t need to happen as keeping the ring has no negative side effects.
Selling Gorak’s Ring Is The Better Option
There Are Other Ways To Raise Reputation With The Pykes
Players will not lose any existing relationship with the Pykes if they choose to pocket the ring to sell it later. Keeping the ring is the most financially beneficial decision. When Gorak requests the ring back, players can simply decline and sell the ring to vendors. Pocketing the ring and selling it later allows players to collect about 500 Credits for it. Having currency is always important, especially as Vess goes on various scoundrel missions for the crime syndicates. 500 Credits is also a decent sum and may be beneficial to Vess later.
Keeping the ring will not hurt any current standing relationship between Vess and the Pykes. Players can boost their reputation with the Pyke Syndicate in other missions in the game.

While there is certainly a benefit to giving the ring back to Gorak, there are no setbacks if players choose to keep it. Keeping the ring will not hurt any current standing relationship between Vess and the Pykes. Players can boost their reputation with the Pyke Syndicate in other missions in the game, such asby giving Gorak information during the initial “Underworld” mission. If a player has anExcellent reputation or Good, that is enough to keep the ring and continue moving forward with the Pyke Syndicate without ever having to return the ring.
Besides, selling it and earning the money will give Vess financial advantages and could help with missions later, such as bribing members of syndicates later on in the game. This could not only potentially get into Pyke Syndicate only areas but other syndicates as well, which is the more lucrative option as opposed to earning points, which the player can do in a multitude of other ways
Star Wars Outlaws: Should You Tell Eleera Or Gorak About The Traitor?
The Star Wars Outlaws mission “Underworld” is a crash course in its reputation system, and the player’s final choice determines their rewards.
While there are multiple options when it comes to what to do with Gorak’s ring, the best option is to sell it. Not only will players be financially rewarded for selling, but they will also not have their relationship with the Pyke Syndicate decrease as a result. The benefit of an increased relationship with the crime syndicate can be earned in several different ways outside of giving back the ring. It makes the most sense financially and logistically. While reputation is important inStar Wars Outlaws, it never hurts to have extra Credits.
