Meri Brownhas lost weight since leaving her polygamist ex-husband,Kody Brown, and theSister Wivesstar recently posted photos of herself looking shockingly thin. Meri and Kody tied the knot in 1990 and had one child together.
They hadn’t been married long when they decided to open their marriage to additional wives. He married Janelle Brown in 1993, Christine Brown in 1994, and Robyn Brown in 2010.
When the unscripted series premiered, it was supposed to present a happy, functional plural family as an antidote to the images of secretive communities of older men marrying young women.
At first, the show achieved its goal, asSister Wivesintroduced reality television audiences to the lovable Brown family. As the years went on, the family grew, and when all was said and done,Kody had four wives and 18 children.
With so many people needing his time, there was never enough of Kody to meet everyone’s needs, and Meri was often neglected. Though Meri desperately wanted to make the marriage work, she left Kody in 2022, following Christine and Janelle out the door. Since the split,Meri has lost weight and is more confidentthan ever.

The weight loss was, sadly, related to a family tragedy. In March,Meri’s world was rocked to the core by news of the tragic death of Garrison Brown. 25-year-old Garrison was Kody’s son with his second wife, Janelle.
Meri knew Garrison his whole life and helped raise him, so he was like a son to her.

WithSister Wivesseason 19set to premiere on Sunday, September 15, Meri finds herselfbusily focused on growing her business empire. Alongside several ventures, Meri recently started a company called “Worthy Up,” a life coaching service. Recently, theSister Wivesstar announced that she’d be closing her bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, for renovations.
The Inn is the result of Meri making a lifelong dream come true.
The 150-year-old house belonged to her grandmother, and Meri always wanted to turn it into a charming B&B. When theSister Wivesstar was still married to Kody, she asked him for a loan to help her make her dream come true, but he refused to help her.
He claimed not to have the money. The ever-determined Meri figured out how to get the money herself and turned her dream into a reality.
