The Apple TV+ series is set to return for season 3 asJimmy continues to help his patients with unorthodox methods. MostShrinkingreviewspraise the show’s ability to balance its heartfelt drama and comedy. As an actor who is experienced and skilled in both genres, Daniels is an excellent addition to the cast. In terms of the story, I amcurious to learn why Jimmy’s dad has been absent from seasons 1 and 2while his son has been grieving. I expect there will initially be some tension between Jimmy and his dad, but they will inevitably reconcile and get their relationship in a better place by the time Daniels' guest arc ends inShrinkingseason 3.
It May Be The Show’s Last Opportunity
Lawrence has previously discussedShrinking’s three-season plan, although he is open to doing a fourth season if Apple TV+ is interested in seeing the story continue further. If season 3 does become the end of the show,it could be the last opportunity to incorporate Jimmy’s dad into the story. That makes it all the more important for Jimmy’s dad to be introduced this season while the series can do so, as there are no plans in place for season 4.
