Donald-Whitfield-(Timothy-Dalton-)-in-1923-and-Rip-in-Yellowstone

After Ellis Island, she feels a little like, ‘OK, I can do this. I did that on my own. I didn’t have anyone protecting me. Spencer wasn’t here. I survived the unimaginable. This is theworstthing that possibly could have happened. Alex goes into Season 2 naive to what the world is like. She doesn’t fully understand it. And then, in Grand Central she gets these bits of kindness from the newsstand man and the Grand Central worker. I think it’s this moment of like, ‘OK, people are good. People are OK, and not all bad.

I thinkshethinks she is through the worst of it.She is continuously, this season, digging deeper to find her will to keep going.

What Julia Schaepfer’s Comments Mean For Alex In 1923 Season 2

Alex’s Journey Is About To Get A Lot Worse

1923season 2hasput nearly every character throughextremely harsh situationsso far. Spencer can’t catch a break on his journey home. Forced to deliver bootlegged alcohol after saving a member of the Italian Mafia, he barely escapes Fort Worth, Texas, only to find himself on a train heading east and further from Montana. Similarly, things haven’t been easy for those at the Dutton ranch.

1923 Season 2, Episode 4 Just Revealed The Origin Of Yellowstone’s Train Station

The Duttons used the train station to dispose of dead bodies all the time in Yellowstone, and 1923 season 2 just revealed how they found out about it.

For Alex, her season 2 story unfortunately reflects a reality for women traveling alone across the world, and it is drastically changing her worldview. Every time Alex faces challenges, she fights back in a different way, but every time she’s on the other side of it, she bounces back because she believes that the fight is over. Schlaepfer’s comments indicate thatAlex might be heading toward a breaking pointin the next couple of episodes, which will be her real test.

Our Take On Alex’s Journey In 1923 Season 2

Alex Will Not Stop Fighting

In1923season 2, Alex’s arc is less about love or romance butabout her own will to fight. Certainly, she comes to America to be with Spencer, but just like Elizabeth, her love is being put on trial. However, unlike Elizabeth, Alex, though raised as royalty, is tough in her own way. At Ellis Island, she uses her wits to earn a stamp of approval to enter America’s border. At the train station, she collects herself and chases the train so that she can continue her journey.

Alex isn’t going to give up. Though at some pointshe’ll come to a realization about her naivety, as long as she’s breathing, she’ll continue to fight for the life she wants. One thing that separates Alex from Elizabeth is the fact that she’s not just running toward Spencer, but she’s also fighting for her freedom.1923season 2 putsthe Dutton familythrough a series of tests during the harsh winter. However, after winter comes spring, and the show will hopefully reflect that in the end.
