If he did return, it’s entirely possible that he would either end up becoming a Ghostface victim or be unveiled to be Ghostface himself, but this could still be interesting if played right.If Dempsey doesn’t return, the best course of action may be to kill the character off-screen or have him move back to LA after a divorce from Sidney, as this would eliminate any questions regarding why he isn’t around.
David Arquette’s Dewey, another legacy character, won’t be returning as he died during the events ofScream(2022).
WithBarrera having been fireddue to her social media posts about the Israel-Palestine conflict and Ortega quitting due to some combination of a salary dispute and scheduling conflicts withWednesdayseason 2,Scream 7has an uphill battle ahead of it in terms of winning back some fans.
