Ryan Reynolds may spend a lot of time inDeadpool & Wolverineunder his mask, but Wade Wilson’s origin story means he has to commit to a significant makeup routine for his unmasked scenes. As revealed after the first Deadpool movie, the application of Wade’s face makeup takes upwards of three hours every time, with the full body process taking more than 7 hours.

On top of the make-up, Reynolds obviously has to get into superhero shape for his performances as Deadpool, and he revealed in an Instagram post that the key to that is having someone there to help him recover when he takes things too far. That person is his trainer Don Saladino:
