Harry Potter: Quidditch Championslaunched with a wealth of content already available, including cosmetics and characters players could earn without spending real money, an assortment of maps from across the wizarding world, and several game modes that cater to solo and social players. Fortunately, this means that players have plenty to get stuck into when they first boot up the game, with even more content coming in future updates and Seasons. However, by far the most interesting aspect ofQuidditch Championsis its handful of maps.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’maps are a genuine highlight, as they either allow players to explore areas once locked to the books and films, or see previously unexplored corners of the wizarding world. Once players have picked theright position inQuidditch Champions, they’ll be able to whizz about six unique maps, with several having different variants. However, some of these maps are simply more interesting than others, and are therefore the perfect choice when playing a quick Exhibition match against a friend of the AI.

6Weasley’s Burrow Map

The Weasley’s House Is Quaint But Lacks Detail

The Weasley’s Burrow map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsis set in the garden of the Weasley’s household, which acts as a makeshift Quidditch pitch. It’s got a quaint, homely vibe, with the small wooden fence surrounding the pitch and makeshift wooden goalposts helping sell the homegrown vibe. Additionally, the surrounding grasslands help immerse players in the English countryside further, andthe little touches, such as the flying car and Weasley’s patchwork house in the distance, give the map a lot of charm.

Players will have to compete in the Weasley’s Burrow map at the very start of the game, as it’s where Ginny helps guide players through the tutorial. However, they can revisit it in the PVP and Exhibition modes later.

Players will encounter many of theplayableHarry Pottercharacters inQuidditch Championswhen they first visit the Weasley Burrow map, making it a memorable experience from the outset. However,it lacks the detail from the other maps, especially the ones closely associated with the Triwizard Cup. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the Weasley Burrow map, and its Day, Cloudy, Sunrise, and Sunset variants give it enough variety to make it stand out.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions: How To Unlock Sebastian Sallow

In Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, players can unlock Hogwarts Legacy’s Sebastian Sallow by linking accounts and claiming a pack of free cosmetics.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Championsis lucky to not have any truly terrible or even bad maps, and the Weasley Burrow being the “worst” one is an incredible feat. It’s a loving rendition of a fan favorite location from the books and films, but it just doesn’t have quite enough to trump the rest of the available maps. For fans of the Weasley family, or those just looking for a lower stakes arena, the Weasley Burrow map is an excellent choice.

A Legendary Stadium Perfect For Facing The International Teams

The Quidditch World Cup Stadium map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsis the perfect finale for the Career Mode. It’s an epic map, huge in scope and scale, with thousands of people watching from the stands that completely engulf the pitch in the center. Cho Chang and other Harry Potter Quidditch Champions players in the upcoming game.

Much like the Weasley Burrow map, there isn’t anything wrong with the Quidditch World Cup Stadium map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions. In fact, it is a great map,one that perfectly encapsulates the grandiose nature of the World Cup, and the importance of winning it. However, it is a little generic in terms of the wizarding world details, and feels much like actual football stadiums that people can visit in real life.

Quidditch Champions Makes One Essential Change To Golden Snitch Rules

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has made a major change to the Golden Snitch, making it far less valuable than in the books and films.

There isn’t anything inherently wrong with that, especially as that is what it is largely meant to convey. However, compared to the other maps which are full of fun magical details, the Quidditch World Cup map doesn’t feel quite as special. Nevertheless, it’s an incredible map to play on, and fantastically caps off the Career Mode.

4Ilvermorny Map

The North American School Is A Fun Addition To Quidditch Champions

Ilvermorny is a wizarding school located in North America, and is home to many famous witches and wizards. It hasn’t been explored in anyHarry Pottermedia so far, with only theFantastic Beastsmovies referencing it when Newt goes to America. So,it’s incredibly exciting to see it finally realized inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsas an interactable spacefor players to fly around in while riding their brooms.

Players will unlock the Ilvermorny map by reaching the Triwizard Tournament Cup inHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions. Once it is unlocked, players will be able to access it in the Exhibition mode.

The autumnal aesthetic employed by the map is incredibly eye-catching, with the crimson-red trees covering the distant hills making the map incredibly vibrant. The medieval building with vines and moss creeping up its facade is also rather beautiful, with its blue roofs and manicured green pitch contrasting well with the wooden stands and red leaves. It’s a very well-designed map and one that’s a lot of fun to fly around in.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions - How To Get The Hagrid PS1 Meme Mask

A much-loved meme, PS1 Hagrid appears as a mask in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. To unlock it, players must grind levels of the season pass.

The only reason it doesn’t rank quite as highly as the other maps inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsis that it doesn’t stand out quite as much. Compared to the more fantastical aspects of the remaining maps, Ilvermorny feels suitably medieval. It’s certainly a more realistic map, one that taps into the traditional aspects of the wizarding world, but as a result it doesn’t feel as special to play in.

3Beauxbatons Map

The Beautiful Mountainous Map With Rolling Green Fields

The Beauxbatons map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsis suitably regal, embracing the opulence associated with the Beauxbatons Academy with its palace-like pitch surrounded by the snow-capped mountains of the Pyrenees. The Beauxbatons map easily makes the best use ofQuidditch Champion’sunique art style. Its gorgeously luxurious gardens that stretch out all the way to the distant school buildings are incredibly vibrant and are complimented by the shimmering waters and gold-accented stands.

By far,the greatest asset of the map is its detailed skybox that showcases the towering mountainous region that the Beauxbatons Academy resides in. They completely surround one half of the pitch, before petering out into smaller rolling hills. No matter where the player is at any stage in the match, they’re sure to be greeted with a glorious view, either of the pitch itself or its surroundings.

Amazingly, Beauxbatons had never been seen before in any form ofHarry Pottermedia. So, its impressive that the developers ofQuidditch Championshave done a remarkable job bringing it to life in such detail. The Beauxbatons map is a true showcase of the more magical and majestic elements of theHarry Potteruniverse, and a good reason to playQuidditch Championsin the first place.

2Durmstrang Map

The Nordic Map Is Truly Unique

The Durmstrang map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsis easily one of the stand-out pitches to play on, and will likely remain that way no matter which new maps are added. It’s unique for so many reasons, not least of which is that its actual pitch is made of ice and not grass like the others. It also continues the Nordic aesthetic seen in theGoblet of Firemovie, with its snow-capped wooden buildings that blend Viking architecture with the iconic pointy roofs of Hogwarts.

Flying around the Durmstrang map is also a treat thanks to the Aurora Borealis glowing brightly in the sky, giving the map’s skybox a unique twist that makes it truly stand out. It’s a nice touch, one that helps make the map feel complete and further reinforces the overall Nordic aesthetic it’s going for. There are plenty of other magical elements and minor details to enjoy too, which help immerse the player further.

Hogwarts Legacy Players Have One Cool Reason To Try Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

Hogwarts Legacy players have been begging to play Quidditch, and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions just gave them a reason to play the game.

Much like the Beauxbatons and Ilvermorny maps inQuidditch Champions, this is the first time that Durmstrang has been represented inHarry Pottermedia outside of references made by characters in Hogwarts. It’s great to see it up close, and will likely be how many fans imagined it. Thedevelopers have done a great job of creating Durmstrang usingQuidditch Champion’sunique art style.

1Hogwarts Map

The Iconic School Is Brought To Life Perfectly

It would be almost impossible for any other map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsto beat Hogwarts, and so far none of them have. The Hogwarts map, which takes place in the school’s iconic Quidditch Pitch with its colorful towers and roaring audience stands, is incredible to behold inHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions. Sporting the House colors of Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff, the Hogwarts map looks vivid and full of life as players whizz around it on their brooms.

It is surrounded by a plethora of amazing details, such as the verdant valleys and dense forests of the Scottish Highlands, and Hogwarts itself, looming over the pitch in all its majesty. Outside ofHogwarts Legacy, this has to be the most gorgeous rendition of the Hogwarts castle in video game form, and players can only glimpse it from far away. Once players have picked thebest Hogwarts House inHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions, flying around it wearing their House’s uniform is a genuine delight.

It also comes in three variations that help spice it up for those who find it a little too familiar: Day, Rainy, and Snow. The Day version is as traditional as one would expect, but the Snow and Rainy versions really bring the pitch to life, with the Rainy version of Hogwarts feeling terrifyingly exciting at times. The Hogwarts map is easily the best map inHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions, although all the others certainly give it a run for its money.
