This is the most common Marowak EX deck you’ll see people using, primarily because, despite its seemingly weak appearance, Dugtrio has the chance to nullify the damage done to it completely. Furthermore, if you can manage to take down an opponent using Dugtrio, then you don’t run the risk of your opponent gaining two points for taking out yourEX Pokémon inPokémon TCG Pocket.

Stage 1 (Fighting)
Boomerang- 2 Fighting Energy: Flip 2 coins. This attack does 80 Damage for each heads.
Dig - 1 Fighting Energy: 40 Damage + Flip a coin. If heads, during your opponent’s next turn, prevent all damage and effects done to this Pokémon.
Item
Put one random Basic Pokémon from your deck into your hand.
During this turn, the Retreat Cost of your Active Pokémon is 1 less.
Supporter
During this turn, attacks used by your Pokémon do +10 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon.
Switch out your opponent’s Active Pokémon to the Bench (Your opponent chooses the new Active Pokémon).
While this is a great deck if it works in your favor, it adds even more coin-flip risk to a deck already relying heavily on it. Therefore, it will be up to you whether you think the potential reward is worth the risk or prefer a more reliable option like Kabuto and Kabutops.
Option 2: Kabuto & Kabutops
This second option is a little less powerful but doesn’t have nearly the same risk as the Diglett & Dugtrio option. This means that while you may need to strategize a bit more with this option, you’re more likely to have more overall wins if you learn to use it properly.

Boomerang- 2 Fighting Energy: Flip two coins. This attack does 80 Damage for each heads.

Stage 2 (Fighting)
Leech Life- 1 Fighting Energy: 50 Damage + Heal this Pokémon by the same amount of total damage you do to your opponent’s Pokémon.
Play this card as if it were a 40-HP Basic Pokémon. You may discard this card from play at any point during your turn, but this card cannot retreat.
Put 1 random Basic Pokémon from your deck into your hand.
For this variant of the Marowak EX deck,you’re almost guaranteed to begin with Cubonesince it will be the only Basic Pokémon in your deck. From there, you can evolve into a Marowak, which requires a single energy to start dealing damage, or Marowak EX, if possible, for even more damage. Using the Dome Fossil prevents other basic Pokémon from getting in your way with the added benefit of getting you to Kabutops, who packs a heavy punch, has a solid HP, and has the ability to heal itself.
