Triumphant Light Details Revealed For Pokémon TCG Pocket

New Set Focuses On Mythical Pokémon Arceus

The newPokémon TCG Pocket set will focus on theMythical Pokémon Arceus, which is said to be the creator of thePokémonuniverse. Notably, there are several cards with abilities dependent on Arceus ex’s appearance on the playing field. For instance, Raichu takes less damage while Arceus or Arceus ex is in play, while Tyranitar does additional damage while one of those Arceus cards is in play. This adds a level of new synergies toPokémon TCG Pocket, opening up a ton of new deck strategies.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Has A Hidden Feature That’s Giving Fans A “Dopamine Fix”

Pokémon TCG Pocket fans are delighted to discover that the game has a hidden animation that triggers on the Pokédex page in a very satisfying way.

Because Arceus ex (and assumably Arceus as well) is a Colorless Pokémon card,it means that it can be slotted into any deck. Players can add Arceus and one of the Pokémon that synergizes with it into an existing deck to give it a boost of power. Players can also aim for a Dragon-type deck with multiple kinds of energies to utilize Arceus and Pokémon of multiple different types. There should besome deck options, but not an overwhelmingly powerful one, as the synergies seem set up to be limited to Arceus and one other Pokémon.

Our Take: Triumphant Light Seems Powerful But Not Overwhelming

New Cards Seem Intriguing But Don’t Suffer From Power Creep

Now that we have a better look at some of the cards in Triumphant Light, it appears that the Arceus synergies will be strong but not too strong. There won’t be a ton of power creep because none of the cards build off a colorless theme,so players shouldn’t be able to create an overpowered deck with just the Arceus theme. Still, this represents a cool new addition toPokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, and we can’t wait to crack open some new packs in the coming weeks.
