If you are looking for a great Celebi ex deck inPokémon TCG Pocket, there are a lot of fun options popping up in the meta. There has yet to be one specific Celebi deck rising in the meta as there are several good variants on it that are still being tested. However, there are still some recurring themesthat will help you figure out what deck works best for you.

Grass-type decks inPokémon TCG Pocketwere not as powerful before the release of Mythical Island. However, there have been two big cards released that have changed how the meta has viewed these cards, including Celebri ex and Serperior. Both of these cards have ways to boost your power overall in the game and can deal major damage when they are able to synergize. Using them together is the best way to make your Celebi ex deck sing.

Best Cards, Suggestions & Substitutions

This deck has a large ceiling but an equally large floor. Like theproblem with the Misty card,Celebi ex relies on players flipping coins to make big plays. However, unlike Misty, Celebi ex can make their coin flips much more reliable by allowing players to stack the odds in their favor.Serperior improves on thiswith their ability.

Lilligant is the option I liked the mostsimply because they can add extra Energy to one of your benched Pokémon, allowing you to stack up Celebi ex even more before deploying them. It can also help you get Serperior online if you want to actually use it, but reallyyou shouldn’t be using Serprior as an attacker.

However, other options that people have been experimenting with include:

Exeggcute is one of the many Pokémon that gotnew versions in Mythical Island. People have experimented with both versions. One of them isslightly less Energy-hungry, but doesn’t have as high of a ceiling for damage potential. The Exeggcute in Mythical Island is also able togenerate Energy by attacking for nothing, which can help you get the Energy you need on the evolved form.

Otherwise, some peopleare only running Serperior and Celebi ex, with a lot of support cards to help them get what needs to be done done. It might make it a little more consistent, and it should be easier for you to get the engine rolling, but it’s worth giving it a shot with the other options.

Best Strategy To Win WIth a Celebi Ex Deck

Hitting Hard & Fast While Avoiding Heavy Hitters

The main thing to keep in mind with this deck is that there is not a large threshold for damage.None of the Pokemon in any of these decks can take a lot of damage, making things like Pikachu ex and Mewtwo ex a large threat.Erika is here partially to mitigate that, but you are going to have to move fast to avoid the heavy hitters.

Getting Serperior on the bench as fast as possibleis the best way to mitigate that so you do not have to worry about getting the Energy costs without any help.Sabrina is also one of the Support cardsthat could help push a threat back to the bench so you may pull out the win.

Players will want to keep Serperior on the bench to avoid taking as much damage as possible to keep the Energy effect active.

The other danger in this deck is that youmay have a low floor just like you might have a high ceiling. Celebi ex does rely on flipping coins, making it a gamble every time you choose to attack. However, the more Energy on Celebi ex the more chances you have to succeed, making it much more likely you can get those high ceilings.

As with any deck, when you are playing there is always a risk. While this deck may be more of a gamble than other high-performing decks, players can maximize the synergy to prevent those things from happening. Luckily, Celebi ex does not have to evolve, so you’re able to get to work right away inPokémon TCG Pocket.
