10Galvantula Will Be A Welcome Addition To Pikachu Ex Decks
Serves As A Strong Alternative to Electrode
Galvantula might not be the first card that comes to mind when considering powerful Lightning-type Pokémon, but this Stage 1 card offers unique strengths that can significantly enhance a Pikachu ex deck. This Pokémon may serve as a strong alternative to Electrode in a deck, often unutilized as a cheap, cost-effective tool for applying pressure and absorbing damage. Galvantula can do exactly this, fulfilling this role while adding an advantage with its attack.Electroweb stops the opponents’ defending Pokémon from retreating in their next turn, while also doing 70 damage.
80
Attacks + Abilities
Electroweb: 70 Damage + During your opponent’s next turn, the Defending Pokémon can’t retreat.
Evolving from the 40 HP Joltik,Galvantula is quick and easy to set up, making it an efficient addition to any deck. On top of this, its attack only costs two Lightning Energy to use, meaning players can start hitting their opponent with a strong 70 damage from as early as their second turn. This gives them enough time to cycle through their deck and find Pikachu ex, a card that can be swapped in when Galvantula has reduced their HP significantly. The cheap retreat cost of one is an added bonus.
9Florges Will Heal A Way To Victory
Takes Some Time To Set Up, But Has Several Advantages
Psychic-type decks have become even strongerafter theMythical Islandexpansion, giving players several options to suit their style of play. The addition of Florges gives players a versatile path, boosting their endurance and damage output. This Stage 2 Pokemon evolves from Floette and Flabébé, both of which have their own advantages when in play. Flabébé can send their opponent to sleep, while Floette will heal 10 damage with each attack. That said, Florges is the card that will have a real impact on the player’s strategy.
120
Bloomshine: 80 Damage + Heal 20 damage from each of your Pokémon.
For just two Psychic Energy, Florges can use Bloomshine. This attack hits for a strong 80 damage, a significant number that can dispose of several cards in the mobile game. Along with this,Bloomshine heals 20 damage from each benched Pokémon, increasing the longevity of a Psychic-type deck. The 120 HP adds to this, making it an effective choice for when Mewtwo ex has taken a fair amount of damage. The only downside to this Pokémon is the time it takes to set up, having to go through two evolutions.
8Stonjourner Is A Damage-Absorbing Tank
Break Down The Opposition Slowly
Stonjourner is a Fighting-type tank that could serve as an ideal choice fordecks featuring Marowak exor Machamp ex. This gives the player a chance to set up stronger and more versatile cards on their bench.
Mega Kick: 90 Damage

7Sigilyph Can Increase The Speed Of A Psychic-Type Deck
Easily Elevate A Mewtwo Ex Deck
Sigilyph is a basic Psychic-type card that will increase the speed ofMewtwo ex decks, though this fact may be overlooked by many players. However, this should not be the case. With a strong 80 HP, this card can stand the test of timewhen placed in the Active Spot for the first turn. This gives players a significant number of turns to charge up Mewtwo ex or Mew ex, as well as set up the important Gardevoir evolution line.

6Exeggutor Can Do Huge Amounts of Damage
A Strong Counter To Celebi Ex
There are several different versions of Exeggutor, including a highly effective ex variant. This means that several players have ignored the powerful application of theMythical Islandversion, along with the clever synergy it shares with its pre-evolution, Exeggcute.Exeggutor is a Stage 1 Pokémon with 130 HP, which is able to withstand most strong attacks. Partner this with its attack, Psychic, and players have a highly effective card. Psychic does a minimum of 80 damage while doing another 20 damage for every energy attached to the opponent’s Active Pokémon. This is particularly effective at countering the impressiveCelebi ex deck.
130
Psychic: 80+ Damage + This attack does 20 more damage for each Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokémon.
Psychic, however, requires four energy to use – one Grass Energy and three Colorless Energy. This may seem expensive, but the pre-evolution,Exeggcute, helps the energy-building process. Growth Spurt does no damage, but instead allows the player to take a Grass Energy from the Energy Zone and attach it to this Pokémon. This doubles the speed it could take to prepare Exeggutor. Players may also use Serperior to speed up this process even more, due to its energy-doubling ability.

Crunch: 70 Damage + Flip a coin. If heads, discard a random Energy from your opponent’s Active Pokémon.
Drednaw’s attack, Crunch, deals 70 damageand costs three Water Energy. With this, the attack will give the player an opportunity to flip a coin. When played correctly, players will be able to use Drednaw to stop the opponent from attacking, working particularly well against Mewtwo ex decks. Misty can also be used to accelerate energy production for Crunch, making it a more viable and powerful move.

2Dhelmise Is Perfect For Finishing Long-Lasting Battles
Does A Deceptive Amount Of Damage When Used Correctly
Dhelmise is a Grass-type Pokémon that is a great addition to Celebi ex decks. Its attack,Energy Whip, does 20 damage for just one Grass Energy. This seems incredibly low, making most players ignore the card and leave it unused. Yet, this card has the potential to blow the opponent out of the water. When this Pokémon has three extra Grass Energy attached to it, it will do an additional 70 damage.
100
Energy Whip: 20 Damage + If this Pokémon has at least 3 extra Grass Energy attached, this attack does 70 more damage.

1Volcarona Will Punish Weaker Pokémon
Targets Any Pokémon In Play
Volcarona may be underused due to the fact that it discards two Fire Energy with each attack. It is understandable why this deters players from using the Pokémon, but when used in specific decks,Volcarona can make quick work of opponents. Its attack, Volcanic Ash, discards two Fire Energy from this Pokémon, but it does 80 damage to one of the opponent’s Pokémon. This gives the player a choice of which Pokémon they target.
Volcanic Ash: Discard 2 Fire Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 80 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon.
Players can use Volcarona alongside the Pokémon Flute to resurrect and repeatedly knock out weaker Pokémon. This makes the card exceptionally efficient, dodging tough challenges from powerful ex cards. Overall, too many players overlook Volcarona inPokémon TCG Pocket.
