The new Max Out season has arrived inPokemon GOwith a number of Galar Pokémon debuting, but you will still have to deal with Rocket Grunts throughout September 2024. There are 21 different grunts that you can run into either at PokéStops or Rocket Balloons, including the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt. While most Grunts can be easily defeated, this team is more tricky than the rest.

As opposed to the Team GO Rocket Leader and Boss battles, such as Sierra and Cliff, all of the Grunt teams focus on one type of Pokémon. The"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt doesn’t give their type away with a speech when you find them, but all of thePokémon they use will be Ghost-types, which should help you prepare a team of counters to take them down.

Ke Ke Ke Ke’s Team For September 2024 In Pokémon GO

An All Ghost-Type Lineup To Face

For each of the three waves, the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt will use one of three Pokémon, with eight potential team members in total. While all of them have a base Ghost-type, many have another secondary type which can make this battle a harder prospect. Unlike theTeam GO Rocket Leaders such as Cliff, the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt has a choice of three Pokémon for each of the three waves. They will start with either the Ghost/Flying-typeDrifloon, the Ghost/Ground-typeGolett, or the Ghost-typeMisdreavus.

Pokémon GO: How To Beat Sierra (September 2024 Lineup & Counters)

The powerful Rocket Leader Sierra in Pokémon GO shows off her skills this September with three strong Pokémon that can tank a hit and deal damage.

You could potentially face anotherGolettin the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt’s second wave of Pokémon, as well as the pure Ghost-typesDusclopsorBanette.However, they save their strongest Ghost Pokémon until last, making it hard to finish the battle. It will either be Generation 1’s Ghost-type favoriteGengar, the meta Ghost/Flying-typeAlolan Marowak, or the Ghost/Ice-typeFroslass.

Best Counters For Ke Ke Ke Ke in September 2024

Fill Your Team With Dark Types

All of the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt’s Pokémon are atleast weak to Dark and Ghost-type attacksso you should fill your team with Pokémon that can use them. The strongest Dark-type and the one that I have found most effective for this battle is Generation 2’sTyranitar. It should be used to help you on your way to facing Team GO Rocket’sBoss Giovanni in September 2024.

The Dark/Rock-type Pokémon Tyranitar has been one of the best attackers inPokémon GOfor sometime, and when equipped with Bite and Brutal Swing, has the power to take down all of the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt’s team on its own.

While Tyranitar can often win this battle on its own, it is best to have at least one other Dark-type Pokémon in reserve. The second-best option is theMythical Dark-type PokémonDarkrai. It can also learn the powerful Ghost-type move Shadow Ball, which is super-effective against all of the"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt’s Pokémon.

For a final choice, you can either use another Dark-type Pokémon, or choose something that has an extra advantage over an individual opponent, such as picking the Ground/Water-typeSwampertto combat Alolan Marowak The"Ke Ke Ke Ke"Grunt has the potential to be the most awkward of all of the Grunts this month inPokémon GO,but by selecting a team full of Dark-type Pokémon, you can easily defeat them.
