What Is The Big House?

Camp Half-Blood’s Administration Building Holds Many Dark Secrets.

The buildings' more supernatural elements have already been glimpsed within the first season of the Disney+ series.

Within the world ofPercy Jackson & The Olympians, the Big House is the administration building for Camp Half-Blood, and a large, bright sky-blue building that houses many of the vital elements to keeping the safe haven for demigods functioning. Alongside Chiron’s (Glynn Turman) office and apartment, the building also houses the camp’s infirmary, a rec room and storage. It’s the buildings' more supernatural elements, though, that have already been glimpsed within the first season of the Disney+ series that will be important going into season 2.

Though he may have been somewhat unsettled by the prediction, the later events of the series would see Percy and others ask for guidance on their quests. However, as time passed for Percy, the secrets of the Oracle would be revealed, including its past and tragic links to Luke Castellan’s past (Charlie Bushnell).

Percy Jackson season 2 promises to include exciting new characters and storylines, including Percy rescuing Blackjack and Annabeth meeting Circe.

ForPercy Jackson & The Olympians season 1, it may be understandable why the Big House wasn’t seen at this point. With both construction issues and the series having to prove itself as a hit for Disney+, it may have been easier for the studio to avoid creating a large on-screen asset. As such, Riordan’s latest update is not only good news for those wanting to see the setting brought to life, but shows that Disney may be eager to keepPercy Jackson & the Olympiansgoing beyond its current renewal.
