Spy x Family Code: White has finally released in theaters for audiences to enjoy, but many are wondering if the movie follows the anime canon.

From a Vase to a Fountain, These Objects Helped Tell the Story

These Items Were Used as Literal Barriers During Tense Moments

Since the movie had a limited time to tell its full story, the talented artists and writers at Wit Studio found a subtler and ingenious manner to represent these feelings.

One of the main plotlines in theSpy X Family Code: Whitemovie is the constant mistrust thatLoid’s dark and dangerous secretsproduce among his family. Throughout most of the film,Yor feels a sense of disconnection with her husband, fearing that he is cheating on her with another woman. Despite these insecurities, the Thorn Princess refuses to speak clearly with Loid, which causes the rift between them to keep increasing in size. This kind of mistrust between the Forgers is not new, as the series has made it clear that the secrets kept by Anya’s parents regularly cause problems.

Since the movie had a limited time to tell its full story, the talented artists and writers at Wit Studio found a subtler and ingenious manner to represent these feelings. At various times during the movie, several objects can be seen between the members of the Forger Family. For example, during one of their talks before going on vacation, a lamp is placed right in the middle of the screen, with Loid and Yor being seen at opposite ends. Whenever feelings of mistrust are being addressed, these objects are used to represent Loid’s unwillingness to share his secrets.

This detail is easy to miss, as most viewers will not take a second glance at the objects placed in the middle of the screens. Nonetheless, the fact that the artists who worked on the movie went out of their way to include this brilliant detail serves to prove how much love and care went into the movie. These kinds of small but significant Easter eggs are just one of the many reasons why theSpy x Familyfranchise is so beloved across the globe.
