Embracing The Power Of Sun WuKong
A Pluck Of Many is a spell acquired right before the end of Chapter 2and will slot into the bottom of a player’s spell bar. Specifically, it will be given to the Destined One byBlack Myth: Wukong’s Headless Monkafter beating the Tiger Vanguard and traversing the tunnel under his temple.The spell works by creating multiple duplicates of the Destined One to join a fight. These duplicates can either help fight or be used as a means to escape/recover. However, it comes with a heavy Mana cost, so choosing the right time to use it is crucial.
Since it is acquired right before the end of Chapter 2, it makes the spell helpful for any bosses after, especially forbeating the Yellow Wind Sage. However,it comes with the caveat of how fragile the clones are, making it harder against bosses with frequent area attacks. Even then, they can help in a pinch with some extra damage or time to heal/use items. Essentially, any boss with mainly single-target attacks will be best for maximizing the potential of A Pluck Of Many.
How To Upgrade A Pluck Of Many
Raising An Army
Luckily, A Pluck Of Many has numerous upgrades that can help bolster it further and warrant its high cost.The first five perks on the skill tree will increase the duration, health, damage, and focus regeneration when using the spell. These five upgrades alone can make the spell a massive bonus to any fight, doubly so if the player can utilize the timing to release their powerful attacks without being hit. The recommended Staff Stances with this would be Smash or Thrust, but Pillar can work if defense is a priority.
The last three skill tree upgrades take A Pluck Of Many and turn it into a real powerhouse. Multitude will grant two extra duplicates at max rank but costs more mana.Insult to Injury will increase the damage of the duplicates after using another spell, making a follow-up Immobilize a great combo. Lastly, Volition will allow the duplicates to occasionally use their own Immobilize, Ring of Fire, and Rock Solid. Volition is the spell that kicks things up a notch and plays perfectly with the damage boost of Insult to Injury.
A Pluck Of Many will end up being a spell that rewards players with what they put into it. Fully leveling this spell can make it a boon in any boss fight, but if one prefers the other spells, then it is better to avoid using it and save mana for other things. However, that is not to say it won’t be without its purposes in some situations. A Pluck Of Many can still help take down the toughest bosses inBlack Myth: Wukong, especially if it is invested through the skill tree.
