ThePokémon Trading Card Gamehas revealed the design for this year’s Fall Collector Chest, and it features a franchise icon.Pokémonhas been releasing Collector Chests every year since 2014. Each box includes several cards and other goodies for fans and this year’s is no different. In addition to some newer Pokémon, the Chest returns to a classic character that’s been around from the franchise’s very beginning.

Images of the Collector Chest have surfaced onPokéBeach, andthis year it shines the spotlight on Pikachu, Ogerpon, and Terapagos. The box will include six booster packs, aPokémoncoin with Terapagos on it, four sticker sheets that tie in to the box design, a small case for card storage, and a code forPokémon TCG Live. In addition, three foil cards will be included. Two will star Dipplin and Ogerpon, who were introduced to the game inPokémon Scarlet and Violet. The third, however, gives Gen 1 fans reason to rejoice:it will feature a foil design of the iconic franchise mascot, Pikachu.

Surging Sparks Pikachu Takes Center Stage

The Fall Collector Chest is clearly meant to be a tie-in for theSurging Sparksset that’s coming on November 8. One side shows a shimmering Stellar Tera Pikachu, striking a dynamic pose with gems circling its head. The image uses the same form of Pikachu as the one that appears on theSurging Sparksexpansion design.

The other side features Teal Mask Ogerpon, a Grass-type Pokémon who stars inThe Teal Maskexpansion toPokémon Scarlet and Violet. Both artworks are set against a vibrant pastel galaxy, possibly as a nod to the use of cosmos holofoil in2024’s Trick or Trade cards. Ogerpon is a new Legendary Pokémon, and it has several forms in the DLC, with the Teal Mask version being the base style. It’s also a pure Grass-type, makingTeal Mask Ogerpon somewhat less exciting than its other forms.

The final Pokémon that’s getting a foil card in the Collector Chest is Dipplin, who also first appeared in the same DLC. The Candy Apple Pokémon seems especially appropriate for the Fall season. The Fall 2024Pokémon Trading Card GameCollector Chest will be on sale in various online and brick-and-mortar stores on November 15. It will cost the same as last year’s box, priced at $29.99.
