The Weaver of Stories Promises More Trouble in Spider-Man’s Future
Though Miles’ new relationship with Anansi could bring along a certain level of godly abilities - and confirms that the character will always be in the middle of good stories - that could end up being more of a detriment than a superpower. With Anansi dictating his life and weaving complicated tales,Spider-Man and his family could be put in the middle of more danger and drama than ever before. To kick off this crossover with Deadpool,Miles’ clone brother Shifthas already been shot, and there’s no telling just how far this trickster god will go to craft an exciting story.
Anansi makes Miles Morales’ life as a superhero considerably more dangerous and raises the stakes higher than ever before.

Anansi’s role in Miles’ life is still currently being defined as the series drops more clues about what exactly the god expects from the “good stories” he craves. However, just as Miles is grateful for his life to finally be back to normal, the Spider-God is there to remind the hero that normalcy is actually the opposite of what he wants to see. Though the godly update makes for a truly outrageous new addition toSpider-Man’slore and redefines his power set, Anansi makesMiles Morales’ life as a superhero considerably more dangerous and raises the stakes higher than ever before.
