Planning his counter-attack on Spider-Man, Wilson Fisk summons his lieutenants -Mr. Negative, Kraven, Mysterio, Black Cat, and Mole Man, the criminal heads from each borough of New York - for a conference.
While the gathering seems like a random menagerie of New York villains at first glance,the total headcount and the presence of Kraven and Mysterio give away the game that this is in facta revamped version of the Sinister Six.

The Ultimate Universe’s Sinister Six dramatically shuffles the team’s roles around.While mainstays like Kraven and Mysterio are still present, Wilson Fisk has replaced Doctor Octopus as the team’s leader while simultaneously taking up the role of raw muscle. Mr. Negative seems to be acting as the “superpowered” element that normally goes to Electro, with his abilities acting as the team’s greatest wildcard. The most dramatic inversion has to be replacing the Vulture (aerial support and reconnaissance) with Mole Man, opting for an “eyes everywhere underground” approach instead of the classic eye in the sky.
The Sinister Six Roster Shows Marvel Is Taking The Team Seriously
The newUltimate Spider-Manseries is all about exploring different angles of Peter Parker’s life: he’s older here, raising a family of his own. Therefore, it doesn’t make sense to pair him against the original Sinister Six. That team consisted of egomaniacs dedicated to revenge against Spider-Man, who had defeated all of them before. The members of this new squad, on the other hand, have no history with Spider-Man at all. This distinction removes their egos from the equation, meaning that they are more willing to follow Kingpin, their undisputed leader.
As the crime lords who rule this version of New York, each member of the Sinister Six is poised to challenge a different aspect of Parker’s life as a whole.Spider-Man’slife has been shaken up in brand-new ways; it only makes sense, then, that the villains of theSinister Sixdo the same.
