She was first introduced inThe Cat#1 as Greer Grant and eventually worked under Dr. Tumolo. Greer was experimenting on and fighting crime as The Cat, but when Hydra attacked Dr. Tumolo, Greer was exposed to radiation while rescuing her. To save Greer, Dr. Tumolo reveals that she is part of the Ancient Cat People andbestows Greer with powers that transform her into Tigra, the champion of the Cat People.
