What This Means For Wuthering Heights
The Film Releases Close To Valentine’s Day
TheWuthering Heightscast also features Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, and Alison Oliver. The movie will mark Fennell’s second collaboration with Elordi and third with Robbie. Elordi played Felix in Fennell’s popular 2023 filmSaltburn, where Robbie served as producer. Robbie also produced Fennell’s first feature,Promising Young Woman, which wound up with many Academy Award nominations. This will be the first time thatRobbie will be involved in a Fennell project in an acting capacity, though she is also a producer on the movie.
Every Margot Robbie Movie Ranked From Worst To Best (Including Barbie)
From The Wolf of Wall Street to Birds of Prey, we’re ranking the movies of Harley Quinn herself, Margot Robbie, from worst to best.
TheWuthering Heightsrelease date positions the movie within Valentine’s Day weekend. This is thematically appropriate for thebook adaptation film, which involves romantic plots (though trending towards the gothic tradition more than some bubbly V-Day fare). This release also means, however, thatthe adaptationwill be released in the off-season for movies, missing both the summer blockbuster window and the typical awards season release dates. With a big cast and director attached, this would not completely preventWuthering Heightsfrom receiving award consideration but would lower its chances.

From an audience standpoint, however, theWuthering Heightsrelease date could provide some box office stimulation at a time wherein there is not usually a lot of great content being released.
It’s also worth noting that this release update comes after Warner Bros. won the bidding rights not too long ago. This is after the studio won the bid for a reported $80 million, against Netflix’s rejected deal of $150 million. Therefore, it should be expected that the release date is satisfactory for Fennell and Robbie, given that theywanted the movie in theaters rather than sending it straight to streaming.
Our Take On The Wuthering Heights Release Date
Wuthering HeightsCan Fill Up A Dry Spell In Movies
As this release date is announced, I do wonder if Fennell, Robbie, and their team are satisfied with a release that comes so early in the year. From an audience standpoint, however, theWuthering Heightsrelease date could provide some box office stimulation at a time wherein there is not usually a lot of great content being released. It may not necessarily bring in huge numbers at the box office, as it exists outside the typical blockbuster genres. However, it could provide an interesting alternative for those looking for a high-profile film during the dry spell season.
