Releasing with a rocky launch,Monster Hunter Wildshas a patch that should fix most players' issues. As the highly anticipated new entry into theMonster Hunterfranchise, this title has been on gamers' radars for some time now. With new locations, monsters, and a story to uncover, this title, in many ways, remains just as incredible as its predecessors.

As shared onCapcom’s supportpage, the team has announced that many in-game issues have now been fixed.Despite many of them being in-game bugs, the biggest change tackles the performance overall:“Addressed issues that occurred under certain conditions with screen rendering and causing force quits.“This huge fix should now make the game playable for most, when previously a lot of players were unable to enjoy the title at launch.

The Game Should Now Be A Lot More Stable

After releasing tomixed reviews on Steam, Capcom quickly looked to tackle the game’s plethora of issues for players. As players primarily struggled to even enjoy the game due to constant crashes and stutters, the game immediately found itself met with plenty of critiques. ButCapcom’s new fix with screen rendering should improve things for a wide range of gamers, making the game playable as intended. While this is not a fix for all crashes or optimization, it does show that they are paying attention to those issues as well.

Monster Hunter Wilds Is Missing My Favorite Series Tradition, & I Don’t Care If It Makes Sense

Monster Hunter Wilds feels like a brand new era for the series, tampering with old traditions, although it misses one that I wish Capcom would add.

Other fixes include tackling important game-breaking bugs, such as amissing NPCthat prevented players from progressing in Chapter 5-2 and falling through the map when heading to Azuz.Gamers should now be able to access the Monster Field Guide without issue, too, as it previously worked incorrectly. A big attack error has also been fixed, preventing players from freezing or becoming unresponsive when successfully performing an offset attack with the Insect Glaive’s Descending Slash.

Our Take: This Is A Step In The Right Direction For Monster Hunter Wilds

Fans Are Still Hoping For More Optimization & Crashing Fixes

Fans have beeneagerly wanting fixesfor a lot of in-game bugs sinceMonster Hunter Wildslaunched, as the game seems to be plagued with unfortunate issues that take away from the overall experience. WhileCapcom is clearly showing they’re paying attention and making much-needed changes, there’s still a lot that’s needed to make the game run as intended. With players still hoping for better optimization and crashing fixes outside of screen rendering issues, the title has a long way to go.

It’s a step in the right direction forMonster Hunter Wilds, though, tackling these issues just days after launch and creating a much better experience for gamers across the board. Though still sitting at over 66k mixed reviews on Steam, this might be the turning point for the title to start becoming positively rated, as the game itself has garnered a lot of appreciation. If Capcom continues to make these much-needed changes, this could be a brilliant gem for even more players to pick up.
