The following contains spoilers for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 3, now streaming on Netflix
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’s caught up with the timeline of the live-action films, which could allow the Nublar Six to make the leap to movies likeJurassic World Rebirth. Introduced inJurassic World: Camp Cretaceousin the background ofJurassic WorldandJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the Nublar Six — Darius, Brooklynn, Ben, Sammy, Kenji, and Yaz — have grown into incredibly capable characters over the years. They’ve even been ret-conned into the events of the films more and more as the shows have progressed, withJurassic World: Chaos Theory’s season 3 endingcrossing over with the events inJurassic World: Dominion.

The season ends with the characters heading headlong into the climax of that movie, which means they’ll be caught up with the rest of the timeline. If they survive their experiences in Biosyn Valley, that means they could still be active in the world after the five-year time-skip toJurassic World Rebirth. This raises the possibility that those characters could make the leap from animation to live-action, although the apparent tone and storyline ofRebirthwould fail to be compatible with Nublar Six given their motivations in the shows. They could still be compelling leads intheir ownJurassicstoryline.
Chaos Theory Season 3’s Timeline Means The Nublar Six Could Potentially Appear In Jurassic World Rebirth
The Nublar Six Have Caught Up The Ending Of Jurassic World: Dominion
Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 ends with clear crossovers to the events of the live-actionJurassic Worldfilms, potentially setting the stage for them to be around and active during the events ofJurassic World Rebirth. While the Nublar Six have always been operating in the same world as the otherJurassic Worldcharacters and storylines, they’ve increasingly crossed over with live-action storylines in season 3. A good portion of season 3’s final stretch takes place in Malta at the underground black market run by Soyona Santos, which also serves as one of the set-pieces inJurassic World: Dominion.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3 Review - The Perfect Franchise Series To Watch Before Jurassic World Rebirth Hits Theaters
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 3 continues this dark animated pocket of the franchise with plenty of connections to the movies and a major death.
The Nublar Six even end up playing an important role in bringing down Santos, with Brooklynn’s role as her apprentice finally leading to Santos' arrest. This sets them up to venture towards the Biosyn Valley, the setting for the climax ofJurassic World: Dominion. At the same time, Kenji and Sammy are on their way to the facility in search of Bumpy. If the group survives those events, they’ll have caught up with the main timeline and and the live-actionJurassicfilms.This could allow them to be active players in the world by the events ofJurassic World Rebirth.

The Nublar Six Wouldn’t Match The Tone Of Jurassic World Rebirth
The More Action-Packed Rebirth Wouldn’t Match The Tone Of The Nublar Six
Just because the Nublar Six are around for the events ofJurassic World Rebirthdoesn’t mean they’ll necessarily be in the film, or even that they would really fit in. Trailers forJurassic World Rebirthsuggest a more action-driven and mercenary approach to dinosaurs, the exact kind of mentality that the Nublar Six have combated over half a dozen seasons acrossCamp CretaceousandChaos Theory. Even if the Nublar Six are famous or involved in the world of dinosaur research and study during those events, they likely wouldn’t approve of a mercenary team harvesting dinosaur DNA for their plans.
The Nublar Six being largely dedicated to dinosaur preservation would make them an ill fit for the more action-drivenJurassic World Rebirth, butthey could be referenced in the film in some capacity. The paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis is set to be a main character of the film, and his experience in the field of dinosaur research could have easily brought him into contact with characters like Darius. This is actually somethingChaos Theoryhas already done, with Darius revealing a working relationship withDominion’s Barry Sembène, a French intelligence agent that previously worked alongside Chris Pratt’s raptor trainer Owen.

The Chaos Theory Leads Could Still Carry Their Own Jurassic World Film
While the Nublar Six might not appear inJurassic World Rebirth, they have the potential to carry their own feature-length narrative. The dynamics between the group have been refined over the course of two animated shows. The group has encountered and survived more dinosaur attacks than anyone else in the franchise, with their collective experience and perspective making them compelling figures to see the world ofJurassic Worldthrough. Depending on the fallout ofJurassic World Rebirth,it could be compelling to see some or all of the Nublar Six take a more central role in the franchise going forward.
Chaos Theoryhas proven these characters work in more mature storylines that would reflect the films, which could make them ideal characters to eventually revisit.

Brooklynn would naturally be a good for the live-action movies, an investigative journalist who has experience in the black market and with morally dubious choices. The fact that she was originally played by Jenna Ortega could be a good way to bring the star naturally into the franchise. Other characters like Darius and Yaz offer unique perspectives on dinosaurs, with their different approaches to wildlife preservation and therapy fleshing out the world in interesting ways.Chaos Theoryhas proven these characters work in more mature storylinesthat would reflect the films, which could make them ideal characters to eventually revisit.

Ultimately though, it’s unlikely to see any of the Nublar Six actually make the leap to live-action. Introducing them with little fanfare to the films would leave audiences who didn’t keep up with the shows confused. It would also be a waste of valuable screen time to have the characters explain their histories and importance in the world. The animated shows and the live-action films exist in the same universe and have had some crossover, but the main characters from both sides have not appeared in one another yet. That could change in a prospectiveChaos Theoryseason 4, though.
The Nublar Six are also largely played by actors better known for their voice acting instead of their live-action performances, which might mean recasting characters that fans have spent years growing with. The films also seem to be moving away from the storylines ofJurassic World, withRebirthspecifically positioned as a new era for the franchise. Having characters defined by their connection to the past might not be what the films want to do. If that’s the case, then hopefullyJurassic World: Chaos Theorycan return to give the Nublar Six a proper send-off before the franchise moves on.
