Tracker’s overarching storyline delves deep into his family history. For the longest time, Colter believed that his older brother had killed their dad. The brothers didn’t have any communication for years until Russell reached out for a case in season 1’s penultimate episode. During their reunion,Colter’s brother also revealed that their mother convinced him to leave. Unfortunately, because they were also working on a case, they weren’t able to properly sit down and discuss their personal conundrum. There were doubts about Russell’sTrackerseason 2 return because of Ackles' busy schedule, but it all worked out.
To make things better,Ackles is also confirmed to appear in more than one episode. PerTrackerseason 2’s SDCC panel, Russell will be in episode 2 of the upcoming year.
