On Swift Horsesstarts with Muriel (Edgar-Jones) and her husband Lee (Poulter) beginning a bright new chapter in their lives following his return from the Korean War, thoughtheir plans are disrupted by the arrival of Lee’s younger brother, Julius (Elordi). Lee hopes the three of them can start fresh together in California, though Julius instead goes to Las Vegas, takes a job at a casino, and starts a secret romance with a male co-worker, Henry (Calva). Meanwhile, Muriel begins her own secret adventure in San Diego, betting on racehorses and uncovering a love she never expected.
