Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 3.Not even a full day after the reveal that Jude Law’s “Jedi” scoundrel, Jod Na Nawood, is actuallyCrimson JackinStar Wars: Skeleton Crew,Star Warshas hinted that this may be yet another ruse from the untrustworthy Jod. The youngest members ofSkeleton Crew’s cast- Wim, Fern, KB, and Neel - still aren’t sure whether to trust Jod or not, something their droid SM-33 backs them up on. Clearly,Star Warswants audiences to feel that same way about Jod, despite who his old friend may recognize and identify him as.
In theirSkeleton Crewepisode guide,StarWars.comdiscusses Jod going by “Crimson Jack,” a pirate who was first introduced in the earliest MarvelStar Warscomics back in 1977. The caption of this entry, however, suggests that Jod still isn’t actually Crimson Jack.It begins by introducing “Jod’s alias of Crimson Jack,” before reminding viewers that Law’s Jod looks nothing like Crimson Jack in his modern iteration, which can be seen in the canonHalcyon Legacycomic miniseries.Star Warsthen teases that this means “Jod has a habit of not being who he says he is.”

What Jod’s Aliases Mean For Skeleton Crew
This Show Does Mysteries Well
Essentially, what Crimson Jack being a mere alias for Jod means is thatSkeleton Crewis thus far managing to pull off two major mysteries. The first is the mystery of the planetAt Attinitself, and why it’s being hidden from the rest of the galaxy - or, at least, why it continues to do so if it doesn’t seem to have any actual treasure. The second is clearly Jod’s actual identity, as it’s unclear whether this man is actually Captain Silvo, Jod Na Nawood, or Crimson Jack, given how many different names he’s gone by already.
Is Jod ACTUALLY Crimson Jack, Or Is It Just Another Alias?
Only Time Will Tell…
Of course, the main question audiences are now asking themselves is whether Crimson Jack is still a ruse of Jod’s or if it’s actually his true identity. Given the fact that Kh’ymm identifies Jod as such, and that theNew RepublicX-wings recognize the name as a threat, it’s clear that Crimson Jack has some kind of established history already. What’s still left to be seen is whether Jod is actually the one who’s made that history under the alias of Crimson Jack, or if he simply used that alias around Kh’ymm and a few others.
Everything Star Wars Has Revealed About Jude Law’s Mysterious New “Jedi”
The end of Skeleton Crew’s premiere episodes debuted Jude Law’s new Star Wars character, so here’s everything we know about the mysterious new “Jedi”.
Either way, this is certainly turning out to be a thrilling addition toSkeleton Crew’s already well-established mystery.Still remaining is the question of Jod actually being a Jedi or not, and if he can actually wield the Force. Though it seems to be that way after witnessing his actions inside the brig,Star Warshas proven before in shows likeObi-Wan Kenobithat this could all be a ruse. Clearly, that’s Jod’s biggest strength inSkeleton Crew: the ability to lie like there’s no tomorrow.
