Could Cal Kestis have a role to play inStar Wars’Mandalorianera? Introduced in the gameStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,Cal Kestisis one of a handful ofJedi to have survived Order 66. After having crash-landed on the planet Bracca following the death of his Jedi Master, the young Cal Kestis cut himself off from the Force, hidden away in plain sight and working as a scrapper until an accident forced him to reveal his true self. Since then, alongside the Mantis crew,Cal has become an integral soldier in the fight against the Empire.
AsFallen Orderand its sequel,Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, are both consideredStar Warscanon, there’s still the question of where else Cal could show up, be that in a movie, an animated show, or more likely, a live-action Disney+ show.Survivor, after all, takes place around the same time asObi-Wan Kenobi, nine years before the destruction of the first Death Star during the Battle of Yavin (BBY). There’s a much more importantStar Warsera being explored on Disney+ at the moment, however –the New Republic era.Could Cal meet a certain Mandalorian and his adopted youngling?

Cal Kestis' Fate Still Hasn’t Been Revealed
Cal Kestis’ lastStar Warsstory,Survivor, is set in 9BBY.The Mandalorian’s first season is set nine years after the battle of Yavin (ABY). Though there have been conflicting reports,The Mandalorianseason 3 takes place in 10 or 11ABY, with the other shows in the franchise, includingThe Book of Boba FettandAhsoka, taking place in that same period. InSurvivor, Cal is roughly 23 years old. As such,if Cal were to show up in the New Republic era, the red-haired Jedi would be somewhere in his 40s, much like fellow Order 66 survivor Ahsoka Tano.
The trilogy-concluding game will either depict Cal’s tragic demise – which would explain his absence during the originalStar Warstrilogy – or leave his story open-ended, making it possible for him to have a major role in the New Republic era.

Age-wise, then, there’s no reason Cal couldn’t still be alive and active during theMandalorianera. However, his final fate has yet to be revealed. It’s been confirmed that athird and finalStar Wars Jedigameis in the works, though no plot details have been revealed thus far, as it’s currently in the early stages of development. If Cal Kestis Is Alive, He Could Become A Major Player In The Mandalorian Era
Hopefully, if Cal survives the thirdStar Wars Jedigame’s story, he could become a major player inThe Mandalorianera. Since being discovered on Bracca inFallen Order, Cal has dedicated his life to fighting the Empire and helping those subjected to Imperial rule. If, as we suspect, the Imperial Remnant, led by a newly returned Grand Admiral Thrawn, makes a move against the New Republic inThe Mandalorian & Grogu,Ahsokaseason 2, and any otherupcomingMandalorian-related stories, there’s no way Cal wouldn’t want to get involved. He’d do anything to keep the galaxy safe.
Star Wars' Rumored Cal Kestis Live-Action TV Show Is Just What The Franchise Needs Right Now
Rumors have been growing about Star Wars bringing beloved Star Wars video game character Cal Kestis to live-action, which would be a brilliant move.
Cal would be an undeniably exciting addition toThe Mandalorianera’s storytelling. Not only is he a tenacious fighter, butit would also be great for him to interact with other Jedi, like Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ahsoka, and Ezra Bridger. Cal and Ezra, especially, are unusual Jedi; they grew up during a time of turmoil and honed their connection with the Force through their relationships. They’d form a formidable duo against Thrawn, whose one major weakness is his inability to understand the Jedi’s inherent selflessness and power. All in all, Cal Kestis would be a great addition to anyStar Warsera, especiallyThe Mandalorian’s.
