James Gunn has proved his talent for eye-watering scenes in the superhero genre multiple times. Yondu Udonta’s death inGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Rocket Raccoon’s origin story and brush with death inGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Chris Smith’s childhood flashbacks inPeacemakerseason 1 are some of the most emotional moments in James Gunn’s comic book projects.
