Andy Allo teases howUploadseason 4 will conclude the series. Allo plays Nora Anthony in the sci-fi show, which focuses on a man’s experience post-mortem when he is uploaded into a virtual world. Nora is a customer service representative for the protagonist in the afterlife, who deals with everything from challenging customers to unfortunate dating apps. In addition to Allo,Uploadfeatures a leading castincluding Robbie Amell, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Owen Daniels, and Andrea Rosen.
In an interview withScreen Rantat the Saturn Awards,Allo hints at what is to come inUploadseason 4. The actor says “season 4 will absolutely blow your mind.” The actor cannot yet tell audiences “which Nathan survived” but coyly added that it is “whatever you think is probably true.” She speaks highly of the cast and crew behindUpload, saying that it was “such an honor” to work with a group of such talented people, making the series' conclusion “bittersweet.” Check out the full quote from Allo below:
Season 4 will absolutely blow your mind. We filmed last year, and it was such a ride. I know everyone’s wondering which Nathan survived, but I can’t tell you! I can’t tell you. I’m going to say whatever you think is probably true.
It was such a dream to get back together with everyone. We honestly lucked out with our cast. Everybody is so wonderful, and we’ve really gotten to become a family. I think that’s why bittersweet that it’s our last season to wrap up the story. I’m grateful that we have closure, but man, I’m going to miss these guys. This was such an honor, especially working with Greg Daniels. I got to mark that off my bucket list, so I’m feeling really, really excited for you guys to see it.
As Allo alludes to, the Prime Video series still has a major plot point to resolve from theUploadseason 3 ending. During the mind-bending season 3, a real-life version of Nathan was dating one person while a digital backup version of his consciousness was in Lakeview, dating a different person. The final moments ofUploadseason 3 told the audience thatone version of Nathan had died, but did not reveal which one. This leftUploadseason 3 on a huge cliffhanger, which Allo’s quote still has not clarified.
Prior toUpload’s season 4 renewal, the Nora actor has previously stated what she wants for the outcome. In a 2023 interview, she said that she would hope that the real Nathan was alive after the season 3 reveal. She said “I hope it’s him, selfishly, for Nora,” who is dating the real-life version of him. Co-star Edwards had theorized that it was the digital back-up of Nathan that had survived past season 3. Now, the mystery remains untilUploadseason 4is released.
Either outcome will make for an exciting turn forUploadseason 4, as it is possible that the dead Nathan could still be revived in some way. It will be interesting to see how quickly this plot is resolved inUploadseason 4. After all, how the dead Nathan met his demise is just as interesting as which one did not make it. All will be revealed when this finalUploadseason is released.
