Stay Aggressive And Dodge Perfectly
One of the Black Wind King’s greatest weaknesses is thathe does not have a ton of healthcompared to other enemies. Unlike the stalwartWandering Wight inBlack Myth: Wukong, the Wind King will fall if you keep managing to land combo strikes with your staff. Despite this vulnerability, the Wind King is still a fearsome opponent who uses his spear to attack quickly with deadly combinations of his own.
While the Black Wind King does have a low amount of health, he does have a Gourd similar to yours that he can take a drink out of to heal. Keep up the pressure to stagger the boss from his healing animation whenever you see it start.

How To Counter
Spear Combo
The most common attack of the Black Wind King, where he swings his spear three or four times at you, with the final strike being somewhat delayed.
Dodge quickly past the first few strikes, then wait a moment before dodging past the last one.
Leaping Slashes
At the start of the fight, the Black Wind King will jump at you from afar, stabbing downward with a thrusting strike as he lands. Then, he will follow this stab with two horizontally slashing swings.
Wait until the boss begins to dive before dodging the first stab. Quickly dodge from side to side to avoid the next two swings.
Trailing Winds
The Black Wind King twirls his spear, slashing its point on the ground to create wind projectiles that travel along the ground and track you as you move.
Move away from the boss, as each wind projectile vanishes after traveling a short distance.
Triple Slash Combo
Lifting one of his legs, the Black Wind King will perform three quick horizontal slashes, starting from whichever side that corresponds to the leg he raised.
Watch for what leg the boss raises, then dodge laterally in the opposite direction. Dodge two more times in sequence to get away from the second and third strikes.
Flame Breath
When you get close, the Black Wind King could quickly take a swig from his Gourd before expelling his breath in a deadly arc of fire near his front.
Dodge backward as you see the boss reach for his Gourd to avoid the incoming flames.
Fists of the Wind
The Black Wind King will do a five-hit combo, starting with a fast strike from his elbow. He then tries to hit you with the butt of his spear before using it as a vault before leaping into the air and returning to the ground with a heavy fist strike.
This combo can kill you from full health, so attempt to either use Immobilize to freeze the boss during this or use a heavy attack from Smash stance to stagger him.
Body Slam
After swinging his spear from side to side, the Black Wind King will perform a delayed body slam AoE onto the ground, then another wide horizontal slash around himself as he gets up.
Dodge forward to get behind the boss before the body slam, then stagger him to prevent the last slash from happening.
Impaling Charge
The Black Wind King kicks at you with his right leg before charging forward with his spear, attempting to impale you.
This attack acts like a grab, so dodge to the side fast once you see the boss charging forward.
Wind King’s Fury
The Black Wind King transforms into a ball of black wind in a blue orb, dashing back and forth within the arena. After three or four dashes, the boss creates a circle of wind in the middle of the arena that explodes when he returns to his human form.
Dodge fast to one side as the ball of wind tries to hit you during a dash. Then, avoid the center of the arena until the explosion. This move has a long recovery animation, so punish the boss after the explosion.
Wind King’s Grace
The Black Wind King turns invisible, either appearing to slam down from the sky onto your position or to perform a quick series of three slashing attacks.
Dodge to the side as you hear the boss appear above youORsimply dodge each physical strike from side to side as you would the boss' other attacks.
