Changing the main room size inDisney Dreamlight Valleyis causing players to get locked out of their homes, and Gameloft is working on a fix. The ability to change room sizes was added in the latest update,Tales of Agrabah, which also brought Aladdin and Jasmine to the Valley.
The update was one of the most exciting for many fans in a while, as it made a few small but key changes to the game, like allowing players to search for recipes. Another welcome update was the ability tochange the size of each roomin the player’s house, allowing for a lot more freedom in home customization.

Now it seems that this same update iscausing the game to lock players out of their own homes.Gameloft is aware of the issue and is currently working on a patch to resolve it, according to a post on the officialDisneyDLVX account.
Gameloft Responds To Disney Dreamlight Valley Room Dimensions Glitch
A Fix Is On The Way, According To Gameloft
To avoid getting locked out, players are advisednot to change the dimensions of the main room in any of their houses to 6x8, 10x6, or 10x8.Using those dimensions may cause an issue that renders players “unable to access that house upon leaving and returning, or may restrict access to the ‘Elevator’ when these specific room sizes are used,” according to the X post. In other words, it will prevent reentry into players' own houses, or stop them from visiting other rooms in the house.
How To Unlock Aladdin & Jasmine In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Aladdin and Jasmine have finally arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but they need some help out in Agrabah first with a giant disastrous sandstorm.
Until theTales of Agrabahupdate, players were stuck using the maximum 10 by 10 size of each room in their house. Now players change the dimensions of individual rooms, but they might want to hold off on altering the main room until a patch is issued. Luckily, changing the room to any of the other dimensions doesn’t seem to have the same effect.Updating other rooms in player houses is also safe to do, according to Gameloft. The company thanks players for their patience as developers work on fixing the issue.
