According to information provided by the leaker known as Uncle Balls, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit,the range of Mavuika’s off-field Elemental Skill has been fixed and should work with Chasca’s Elemental Skill, provided that players do not manually ascend too high into the air. This is a major update to Mavuika inGenshin Impact.

Once in the air, the game would not adequately calculate the range between the active character and the enemy thanks to the verticality and, as such, Mavuika’s Skill would go to waste when used as a sub-DPS in team comps with Chasca as the main DPS. Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks Show Building Characters Is Getting Much Easier
A series of quality-of-life updates and system optimizations have been leaked for Genshin Impact 5.3, hinting at an easier time building characters.
This is because Mavuika is allegedly incentivized to work alongside other Natlan characters who have the Nightsoul mechanics. According to the leaks about her kit,Mavuika benefits from a huge ATK buff when other party members trigger Nightsoul Bursts, for example. As a possible sub-DPS, she would work well with Chasca, who is a main DPS in team comps and benefits not only from off-field DMG but also from characters with other elements thanks to her Elemental Conversion mechanic.
With the rumored ATK buff, Mavuika would then be able to deal more off-field Pyro DMG, helpingChasca’s build inGenshin Impact.
Overall, this was the biggest issue in Mavuika’s leaked kit so far. If her off-field Skill continued to be restrained when using Chasca, the character would not have been such an attractive pull from the banners because a portion of her kit would simply feel heavily nerfed.
