Genshin Impact Xbox Release Date, Cross-Progression, & Differences From Other Platforms
The release of Genshin Impact on Xbox Series X/S platforms will come with a few differences and exclusive rewards for some of its players.
Two New Artifact Sets Are Confirmed For Genshin Impact 5.0
Both Artifact Sets Will Be Farmable From The Same Domain
As seen in official posts made by the developer, which were compiled and shared onReddit, two new Artifact sets have been officially confirmed for Version 5.0.The update will introduce the Obsidian Codex set and the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set, each of which will have its own abilities, though both will likely be farmable within the same Domain, as is the case with most Artifacts in the game. These two Artifact sets are tailored for Natlan characters inGenshin Impactthanks to their alignment to the Nightsoul mechanics, which are exclusive to Natlan units.
Both these sets will be obtainable by challenging the Domain of Blessing: Sanctum of Rainbow Spirits in the Toyac Springs region of Natlan.

New Natlan Artifacts In Genshin Impact 5.0 Significantly Boost Natlan Characters
These Artifact Sets Work With Nightsoul Mechanics
Based on its description, Obsidian Codex will be made for DPS units. The two-piece bonus for the set sees that when the equipping character is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and is currently present on the field, their overall DMG dealt is increased by 15% – this means damage that comes from their Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. Furthermore, when the equipping character consumes one point of Nightsoul while they are on the field, their CRIT Rate is increased by 40% for six seconds, an effect that can only be triggered once per second.
Because of these effects, Obsidian Codex will be the best Artifact set forMualani’s build inGenshin Impact.

The Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City Artifact set will work much differently, but still significantly boost Natlan characters. With two pieces equipped, when a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 points of Elemental Energy. With four pieces, after the user triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the reaction for 15 seconds. There is an extra bonus if the equipping character is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state when the effect is triggered inGenshin Impact.
If this happens, all nearby party members gain an extra 28% Elemental DMG bonus for the elements involved in the reaction for 20 seconds. Additionally, this effect can be triggered while the character is off-field – though the DMG bonus from Artifact sets with the same name do not stack. This will require the equipping character to use the Nightsoul Burst mechanic and enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state before triggering an Elemental Reaction, which can be a bit troublesome when considering rotations, butthe effects it provides characters inGenshin Impactare worth the effort.

New Artifact Sets In Genshin Impact 5.0 May Be Game-Changing For Natlan Characters
The Bonuses Provided By The Sets Are Incredible
Based on their descriptions, both sets will be incredible for Natlan characters, provided they are accordingly equipped based on each unit’s role in a team comp. The Obsidian Codex set, which seems made for on-field main DPS units, offers a huge amount of offensive capabilities. The 15% DMG bonus provided by the two-piece bonus should always be active with Natlan DPS characters like Mualani and Kinich, for instance, since they should constantly be in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. Additionally, they should also have consistent fluctuation in Nightsoul points, meaning the four-piece bonus will also be constantly activated inGenshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Natlan Leaks Show Chasca May Be A Must-Have Character
A few details about Chasca’s abilities in Genshin Impact have allegedly leaked, hinting at what may be a very good playable character to have.
This effectively means that these DPS characters from Natlan will almost always activate a whopping 40% CRIT Rate bonus for themselves. In turn, when players are building them, they could possibly even take these 40% into consideration and invest more effort build the units around CRIT DMGsince the 40% CRIT Rate bonus is almost ensured given how the rotations for these DPS characters work and how Nightsoul point consumption happens often. The effects from the Scroll of Hero of the Hero of Cinder City inGenshin Impactare also very meaningful, especially for upcoming sub-DPS and support units.

The two-piece bonus is great for regenerating Energy, even if it cannot be triggered continuously given limitations on cooldown times for Nightsoul Bursts. The four-piece bonus, however, truly stands out when it comes to a team’s rotation. Seeing most teams are centered around Elemental Reactions, the 12% Elemental DMG Bonus can almost always be triggered, even if the result is a simple Crystallize effect, for instance. This allows the main DPS to come onto the field after the sub-DPS or support and take advantage of the increased Elemental DMG provided by the set they don’t even have to equip themselves.
This is made even stronger if the equipping sub-DPS or support character can activate the effect while in the Nightsoul’s Blessing Effect, making their DPS even stronger than they would normally be.The Scroll of Hero of the Hero of Cinder City only reaches its full potential when equipped by a sub-DPS or support character from Natlanand, in Version 5.0, only Kachina is suited to use it. However, with the leaks aboutXilonen inGenshin Impact5.1, it seems she will become a viable candidate to use this Artifact set and exploit it to its limit.
The increased Elemental DMG from this set could even stack with Xilonen’s rumored Resistance shred against opponents.
Of course, Obsidian Codex and Scroll of Hero of the Hero of Cinder City are only the first two Artifact sets to arrive with Natlan in Version 5.0. By Version 5.3, for example, two other Artifact sets should be released, reflecting the gameplay mechanics of futureNatlan character releases inGenshin Impact, including Mavuika, Citlali, Chasca, and, possibly, even Capitano.
