Victor only gets two swings in beforethe Boy in White(Vox Smith) appears and tells him to stop trying to cut the tree down.The Boy in White emphasizes that the tree is important, but that he cannot explain why, as the residents have to learn the truths for themselves. He tried telling Christopher exactly what to do years ago, but this did not work out as intended.

Victor reveals a few secrets about the “Anghkooey” children in From season 3, episode 8, “Thresholds,” including how the children died.

This interaction also addresses the Boy in White looking older after years of looking the same, withthe Boy in White explaining that he is changing now, just as everything else in the Town is changing. 7Tabitha Makes A Shocking Discovery

This Explains Her Connection With Victor

While searching for Fatima, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Julie Matthews (Hannah Cheramy) follow one ofthe"Anghkooey"childrento the cellar where Fatima is being held. They do not discover that Fatima is in the cellar’s back room, because Victor is in the cellar, staring at the place where he last saw his mother. As Tabitha comforts Victor and tells him that what happened to her was not his fault,Tabitha sees the moment when Victor’s mother said goodbye to her children and when she went to the faraway bottle treeand was attacked by the smiling monster.

The larger implication is that Victor’s mother was reincarnated as Tabitha and that all the residents may be stuck in a loop of reincarnation.

While the exact nature of Tabitha’s discovery has yet to be confirmed,her discovery suggests that she and Victor’s mother are the same person, which is why she has memories of her, including the scene with the faraway tree and the monster that has never been seen before. Tabitha and Victor’s mother being the same person would explain the connection Tabitha has with Victor and her always being loving and understanding towards him. The larger implication is that Victor’s mother was reincarnated as Tabitha, and that all the residents may be stuck in a loop of reincarnation.

6Boyd’s Parkinson’s Disease Symptoms Are Back

This Was A Major Part Of His Season 1 Story

In season 1, Boyd experienced Parkinson’s disease symptoms, primarily with tremors. This motivated him to go into the forest with Sara to find answers and save the residents before the symptoms made him physically unable to do so. Despite the importance of Parkinson’s in season 1,Fromignored this part of Boyd’s storyin season 2 and for nearly all of season 3. That is no longer the case asBoyd begins to experience Parkinson’s disease symptoms again in “Revelations: Chapter One,” this time in the form of tremors and freezing.

Freezing in this context means that the individual is suddenly and temporarily unable to move, which is exactly what happens to Boyd at one point in this episode. Since Boyd is now experiencing both tremors and freezing, his resurgent symptoms are more severe than they were in season 1.Bringing back this aspect of Boyd’s story and escalating the symptoms creates a sense of urgencyand does not bode well for Boyd’s future in the town.

5Sara Hears The Voices Again

They Taunt Her About Fatima

Sara killed multiple individuals in season 1 because of the mysterious voices she began hearing. The voices promised a way to escape the Town if Sara complied, knew everything about Father Khatri (Shaun Majumder) and his past, and even had the power to etch the words"Kill the Boy"into Sara’s arm. She stopped hearing the voices for a while, but they come back in “Revelations: Chapter One” asthey taunt her about Fatima being held captive somewhere close by.

Sara nearly killed Ethan Matthews (Simon Webster) in season 1 because of the"Kill the Boy"message, but accidentally killed her own brother, Nathan (Paul Zinno) instead.

Sara shares this information with Boyd and his son, Ellis Stevens (Corteon Moore), and helps narrow the search for Fatima.The return of the voices proves that Sara still has a unique connection to the Townand makes her poised to once again be at the center ofFrom’s best characterssearching for answers. With so many of the residents fearing and hating her, she was relegated to the sidelines for a while, but between Victor going to her for help throughout season 3 and with her hearing the voices back, her role will likely be more prominent moving forward.

4Kenny Resumes Being Boyd’s Deputy

Their Bond Is Restored

Ever since Kenny Liu (Ricky He) learned in season 2 that Boyd knew about Sara killing his father and kept this information from him, Kenny and Boyd’s relationship has not been the same. It was also after this thatKenny stopped being Boyd’s deputy. However, Kenny and Boyd’s relationship has gradually healed, and this episode sees them fully reconciling. Boyd asks when he is gone or unable to be sheriff anymore, if Kenny will be willing to become the Town’s sheriff.

Kenny does not want to talk about Boyd being gone, and instead says that he will be Boyd’s deputy again.Boyd and Kenny are officially a team againand have mended their broken relationship. This sets up Kenny to become more of a leader inFromseason 4and for him to possibly even replace Boyd if his character is killed. Now that Kenny lives at Colony House, he is even more entrenched in the community and with the other residents, which may prove useful to his leadership in the future.

3Donna Refuses To Tell The Residents Who Killed Tillie

She Changes Her Tune From The Previous Episode

Donna Raines (Elizabeth Saunders) was previously adamant that she would tell the residents about Fatima killing Tillie(Deborah Grover) if Boyd refused to do so. This episode sees Donna taking a different stance on the matter as she thinks about how much Fatima personally means to her and the other residents and that revealing what happened will do more harm than good. She also recognizes that whatever is happening to Fatima, it is not her fault, and is due to the dark forces controlling her.

It Is A Moment Of Strong Leadership

Donna previously told Boyd that the residents were losing faith in him. This was evident the last time he gathered everyone together at the diner for a meeting after Tabitha’s unexpected return, as the residents voiced their doubts about Boyd’s leadership.“Revelations: Chapter One” sees Boyd regaining some of the residents' trustas he unites them in front of the diner, tells that that Fatima is missing, and inspires them to search for her and prove to the Town that it will not beat them.

While the overall faith and trust in Boyd is not as strong as it once was, there is still enough for him to be able to gather everyone together and to unite them in a mission to save one of their own.

While Fatima has yet to be found or saved,this does feel like a triumphant moment for Boyd and for the residents, even with him concealing the truth that Fatima was the one who killed Tillie. While the overall faith and trust in Boyd is not as strong as it once was, there is still enough for him to be able to gather everyone together and to unite them in a mission to save one of their own. Now the question is whether Fatima can be located before it is too late for her.

1Fatima Discovers A Hatch Door In The Cellar

The Cellar’s Importance Continues To Grow

When Elgin is gone and searching for Fatima with Ellis, as if he does not know where she is,Fatima discovers a hatch door in the floor of the cellar’s back room. She does not get a chance to open it before the ghostly kimono woman silences her, as she does not want the residents to find Fatima. Much like the hatch discovered inLost, there are likely game-changing secrets hidden below, which in this case may help Fatima, and possibly reveal more about the Town’s history.

Thedead body inFrom’s root cellarthat Elgin discovered in episode 7 has not been explained yet, nor has the body crushed by the boulder that Jade Herrera (David Alpay) saw there in a vision early in season 1. The truth about these bodies may lie below the hatch door, along with a connection to the faraway tree that transported Julie into the cellar when she escaped the Colony House massacre in season 1.This discovery could be Fatima’s last chance at saving herselfbeforeFromseason 3 ends.
