InStar Wars Outlaws, players only have one weapon on hand at all times, their trusty upgradable Blaster. However, they can pick up an assortment of other weapons, from rifles and repeaters to launchers, which have extremely limited use. These weapons are significantly more powerful, and can change the tide of battle in the players' favor by, for example, granting them a shield to deflect enemy fire and a gatling gun with which to dominate the battlefield.
Much like thebest tools inStar Wars Outlawsthat Kay Vess has at her disposal, these weapons can be helpful in a pinch. So,knowing which of the 14 weapons that Kay can pick up is worth using is incredibly important in the heat of battle. Fortunately, there are definitely duds that players should avoid and a handful of weapons that must be used at all costs.
14Phase-Pulse Short Rifle
A Short-Ranged Weapon With A Random Bullet Spread
The Phase-Pulse Short Rifle inStar Wars Outlawsis by far the worst weapon. While it’s not unbelievably atrocious, for the most part, it’s barely worth picking up.The main problem with it is its random bullet spread, which sees two bolts fly off in wildly different directions.
It’s a hard gun to accurately use, and it doesn’t help that it needs to be charged first. The Phase-Pulse Short Rifle isn’t definitely worth trying once, but after that,using Kay’s Blaster is more effective. If this weapon is all that players have left at their disposal, they may want to ensure they have unlocked thebest Speeder upgrades inStar Wars Outlawsin order to make a quick getaway.
13MPL Rocket Launcher
A Powerful Rocket Launcher With Limited Ammo
The MPL Rocket Launcher should be a better weapon inStar Wars Outlaws, but it just isn’t as good as it could be. While it deals a significant amount of damage, its area of effect is too small.Enemies will rarely get caught in the blast unless they’re packed right next to each other, which makes it feel a little pointless.
The MPL Rocket Launcher is good at precisely taking down one or two targets, which gives it some worth. However,its extremely small ammo count of just two rockets renders it useless, unless there’s a lot of them scattered across the battlefield. Unlike the Phase-Pulse Short Rifle, it is worth grabbing the MPL Rocket Launcher inStar Wars Outlaws, but players shouldn’t expect it to be particularly good.
12E-11D Blaster Rifle
A Mid-Range Burst Variant Of The E-11 Blaster Rifle
The E-11D Blaster Rifle will appeal to some players, but not others, largely thanks to the fact that it’s a burst rifle. This shoots three rounds at a time, which can be annoying for those who are used to fully automatic weapons. However,it’s greater range over the original E-11 gives it the upper hand.
Star Wars Outlaws: Best Things to Do After Beating The Game
There may not be a New Game Plus, but that does not mean that Star Wars Outlaws is over when the credits roll as there is plenty more to do.
There isn’t anything inherently wrong with the E-11D Blaster Rifle, and it’s definitely worth using. It just doesn’t feel particularly special, andthose who dislike semi-automatic weapons will be annoyed by it. Luckily, unlike some guns inStar Wars Outlaws, it does have a decent ammo count.
11ABR-2 Zato Blaster Rifle
A Burst Rifle That Packs A Punch
The ABR-2 Zato Blaster Rifle shares a lot of the same issues as the E-11D Blaster Rifle inStar Wars Outlaws, as they’re both semi-automatic and don’t feel as efficient as the other fully automatic weapons. However,it is far more powerful than the E-11D, making it feel more like a long-ranged shotgun than a rifle. Each bolt packs a punch, decimating foes whenever they hit.
Despite its shortcomings, the ABR-2 Zato can work well in a pinch, especially when used in conjunction with thebest abilities inStar Wars Outlaws. It won’t be every player’s go-to weapon, but it’s certainly worth using. It is certainly more powerful than the Phase-Pulse Short Rifle.
10DLT-20A Sniper Rifle
A Strong Sniper Rifle With A Long Charge Time
The DLT-20A Sniper Rifle is one of a handful of long-ranged weapons inStar Wars Outlaws, and it is by far one of the deadliest in the right hands. Unfortunately,it has a fairly long charge time in order to be effective, which can be difficult in the heat of battle. However, it more than makes up for that with its incredible range.
There are only three weapons with a long range scope inStar Wars Outlaws. Outside the DLT-20A, there is the Phase-Pulse Short Rifle and the far superior PK-23 Sniper Rifle.
Star Wars Outlaws’DLT-20A Sniper Rifle isan incredibly powerful weapon that will one-shot most enemies Kay faces. If players use it tactically and pick off enemies from afar, it can be very effective. Unfortunately, it has very little ammo, which means it’s only useful for a handful of shots.
9E-11 Blaster Rifle
An Iconic Star Wars Blaster
The E-11 Blaster Rifle is the iconic Stormtrooper weapon of choice, and it’s great to see it appear inStar Wars Outlaws. The E-11 Blaster Rifle is essentially an SMG.It has a fairly short range, but a very fast rate of fire, making it excellent for taking down multiple enemies in quick succession, or pumping lots of damage into one single target.
Thankfully, the E-11 Blaster Rifle has plenty of ammo, so players will be able to use it for quite a while before Kay tosses it aside. It is also found on most Stormtroopers, making it an easy weapon to find. While it isn’t the most powerful gun inStar Wars Outlaws, it’s a fairly reliable one.
8JND-41 Percussive Cannon
A Blaster-Rifle-Grenade-Launcher Hybrid
There are two explosive rifles inStar Wars Outlaws, with the first being the JND-41 Percussive Cannon. For the most part, the two are identical, although the JND-41 falls short thanks to its shorter range. However,when used at close-range, it is a truly deadly weapon that will blast even the toughest enemies apart in a hit or two.
In order to unlock this weapon, Kay must first unlocked the “Can I Try That?” ability from the Mercenary Expert. This allows her to use a number of weapons inOutlaws, including the Relby V-10 Blaster Rifle, ZB-3 Modulator Cannon, TL-50 Heavy Repeater, and the Z-6 Rotary Cannon.
Much like the MPL Rocket Launcher, this deals AOE damage to anything caught in its blast radius. However, unlike the rocket launcher,the JND-41 Percussive Cannon has significantly more ammo, making it overall a far more effective weapon. It’s great for knocking enemies out of cover, or putting some distance between Kay and her assailants.
7Relby V-10 Blaster Rifle
A More Powerful Version Of The JND-41 Percussive Cannon
The Relby V-10 Blaster Rifle is the other explosive rifle inStar Wars Outlaws.It is only marginally better than the JND-41, largely thanks to its longer range. They both have 10 rounds, so in that respect they’re mostly the same.
What makes the Relby V-10 Blaster Rifle stand apart is its wider area of effect, as it causes a much larger explosion than the JND-41. It’s a more efficient and powerful weapon, especially when used correctly. The Relby V-10 Blaster Rifle will seriously pack a punch, is capable of clearing out dozens of enemies with well-placed shots, and is perfect for assisting in some ofStar Wars Outlaws’best side quests.
6ZB-3 Modulator Cannon
A Deadly LMG With A Green Glow
The ZB-3 Modulator Cannon inStar Wars Outlawsis a powerful LMG-type gunthat is capable of tearing apart foes in a matter of seconds. This is a truly deadly weapon, as it not only deals a lot of damage, but also has an incredibly fast rate of fire. The only thing bringing it down is its slight recoil.
Can You Get A Lightsaber In Star Wars Outlaws?
As the most iconic weapon in the Star Wars universe, many people are wondering whether Kay can get and wield a lightsaber.
This is really one of the best guns in Star Wars Outlaws, only beaten out by a handful of others. It doesn’t have any glaring issues, andits raw firepower makes it a worthwhile weapon. It even has a decent ammo count, making it last significantly longer than some ofOutlaws' other guns.
5TL-50 Heavy Repeater
An LMG With A Shield That Deflects Headshots
The TL-50 Heavy Repeater is one of two weapons that also come with a shield in Star Wars Outlaws.This one protects Kay’s head and upper torso in combat, meaning she’ll avoid taking any headshots from stray Stormtrooper bolts. Fortunately, outside its defensive capabilities, the TL-50 Heavy Repeater is also just a powerful weapon.
Players will need to aim when using the TL-50 Heavy Repeater to activate its shield. This is also the same for the Z-6 Rotary Cannon, which also comes with its own shield.
Of course, just like the JND-41 Percussive Cannon, players will need to hunt down the Mercenary, who is one of themanyStar Wars OutlawsExperts, to learn the “Can I Try That?” ability in order to use the TL-50 Heavy Repeater. However, once they can, it’s a worthwhile gun to pick up. Players won’t see them particularly frequently, butwhen they do pop up, they can change the tide of battle in an instant.
