By theend ofBlack Mirror"Eulogy", Phillip walks away from his experience with the Eulogy technology with a better – and more accurate – understanding of why he and Carol never worked out.Guiding him through this process is an AI-generated consciousness called The Guide, played by Patsy Ferran, who is revealed to be Carol’s daughter, Kelly. While The Guide resembles Kelly’s personality, knowledge, and likeness, she is designed and utilized so that the real Kelly doesn’t have to endure the emotional burden of the Eulogy process while she’s grieving her mother. While the cast ofEulogyis small, the acting and story are both outstanding.
