Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship takes its maiden voyage on December 21, and the Disney Treasure has a host of brand-new locations and activities that are geared towards adventure. From the moment passengers enter the Aladdin-themed lobby, it’s clear they’re about to be whisked away on the oceanic version of a magic carpet ride — and the beverage options are no small part of that experience. Whether it be theHaunted MansionParlor or the Skipper Society (so named after theride and movieJungle Cruise), the ship’s lounges offer a chance to step into a whole new world.
Each lounge is intricately designed to evoke a particular Disney movie or park attraction (oftentimes it’s a two-in-one situation), with unique drinks that capture the spirit of that adventurous corner of the world. Naturally, some favorites from previous ships make a grand return — such as theBeauty and the Beast-inspired nightclub, The Rose, from the Disney Wish, or the Cove Café, which can be found on 6 of the 8 DCL ships. But there are also 5 lounges that are currently unique to the Disney Treasure, with one even incorporating material from the beloved but abandoned20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

What To Expect From Disney Treasure’s Dining Experiences: Worlds Of Marvel, 1923, And Plaza De Coco
ScreenRant offers a sneak peek at the menu and entertainment of the 3 main restaurants in Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure.
ScreenRanthad the honor of previewing those 5 lounges while aboard the Disney Treasure for a three-day press trip ahead of its official launch. Below, please find our personal ranking of the exciting offerings, but remember that each one is deserving of a visit during your stay.
5Skipper Society
This Jungle Cruise-inspired lounge is more relaxing than one might expect.
Despite being a sister ship to the Disney Wish, the Disney Treasure trades out the former’sPrincess and the Frog-styled lounge, The Bayou, for theJungle Cruise-themed Skipper Society. Located near the lobby, Skipper Society has hints of the iconic Disney attraction embedded throughout its design, from luggage tags to postcards that tell of previous adventures.
The colors, textures, and even music of the lounge echo both versions of the Jungle Cruise attraction, and there is no shortage of skipper-inspired puns scattered throughout the venue.
The drinks follow similar themes, focusing on the exotic thrill associated with the ride, which makes it a perfect match for the Disney Cruise. The main reasons it’s ranked last are simply that there weren’t many events taking place here during my 3-day trip, and no drink flavor or design stood out to me. But the Hippopotomai-Tai gets 10/10 for its title, and Bayab gin and Campari is a good combination. More than anything, Skipper Society is a great place to relax and chat with friends (or hear yourself think).
4Sarabi
Styled after the African Savanna, Sarabi is the perfect place to watch a live show.
Mufasaarriving in theaterson December 20 makes it the perfect time to introduce a lounge honoring Simba’s mother, and thisThe Lion King-themed location is certainly worthy of her name. It’s also larger than most of the other lounges, with seating on two decks and a 2-story LED screen that makes for a perfect entertainment spot.
And entertaining it most certainly is, as exemplified in “Choose Wisely! An Indiana Jones Comedy Adventure,” where comedy duo Coriander and Sage race through highlights from all 5Indiana Jonesmovies before a jazz singer takes the stage for Sarabi Supper Club. Events such as these can be enjoyed while sipping a refreshing beverage, alcoholic or otherwise. Speaking of beverages,my personal recommendation is the Pride Sunset(which contains Sango Agave, Passion Orange Guava, and Pama Pomegranate).
3Periscope Pub
This lounge brings back a lost artifact from Walt Disney World.
Given the fact that Disney World’s Magic Kingdom closed down its20,000 Leagues Under The Seaattraction in 1994, it may come as a surprise that the Disney Treasure chose that attraction to inspire one of its new lounges. But I’m personally grateful it did because Periscope Pub is absolutely gorgeous. The blue and gold color scheme is appropriate for seafaring, with a window looking out into the vast ocean (not to mention an aquarium screen on the ceiling that uses real-time footage captured from the ocean) that calls to mind Captain Nemo’s adventures aboard the Nautilus.
The devil is in the details at Periscope Pub, which is full of Easter eggs that call back not only to the beloved Disney ride and 1954 film, but also to other ships in the Cruise Line fleet.
Eagle-eyed observers can find the Treasure’s hull number (as well as that of its sister ship, the Wish) etched in various art decorations throughout the pub. Even the liquor pourers have underwater designs, which help immerse visitors as they order their drinks and maybe watch some sporting events. Speaking of drinks, I can’t say enough good things about the Outis Daiquiri (with SelvaRey White Rum, Luxardo Maraschino, lime, and grapefruit).
2Scat Cat Lounge
This location is flying high on drinks and vibes.
The Aristocatsmay not be the first movie that comes to mind when someone says “adventure,” but the beverages at the Scat Cat Lounge absolutely fall under that category. The jam-inspired drinks are a personal favorite, from the sweet and tangy Strawberry Jam option with Tanqueray Ten and a literal jar of jam to theGrape Jam flavor that pairs Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey with a literal PB&J sandwich.
The atmosphere of the bar perfectly melds the cat decor reminiscent ofThe Aristocatswith theAladdin-esque color palette of the lobby. Scat Cat Lounge also offers a number of performances, thanks to the paw print-filled baby grand piano that sits at its center. Jazz renditions of your favorite Disney tunes will filter in as your head spins from having to tryeveryexciting drink the menu offers. For those looking to lay off the alcohol, meanwhile, the zero-proof Parisian is made up of Brunswick Aces Spades, Raspberry, Lemon, and Agave.
1Haunted Mansion Parlor
The grand prize of Disney Treasure Lounge Excellence goes to none other than Haunted Mansion Parlor, which is like a mini-trip to the 1969 version of the Disneyland ride all on its own, right down to the Donald Duck chair. The moody atmosphere kicks in from the moment one’s eyes meet the Tomb Sweet Tomb sign at the entrance, and the periodic appearances of friendly ghosts amidst the dark and dreary lighting complete the immersion.
Be sure to check every painting, mirror, and fish tank for a uniquely haunting experience.
While the drinks may not bequiteas adventurous as those at the Scat Cat Lounge, there are some truly cool ones to check out. The zero-proof Sympathetic Libations comes with its own secret message that materializes upon arrival, while the spirit-free Ghostly Retreat (a sweet grenadine concoction) offers eyeball gummies for your chewing pleasure and a souvenir glow cube to thank you for the memories. The best thing about Haunted Mansion Parlor is that you’re guaranteed to have a different experience each time you come, depending on where you sit and when you have a look around.
